There is a difference between bad and RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing terrible.

I don't believe RA really has too many of the latter category. Most people understand simple kiting, even if they are bad.

What you just posted is a PvE build.

Well, at least the build has a maintenable enchantment and a broken healing power.

Very good against pressure, but it can't handle any form of spike. Thus, it probably should only be used in TA with another monk...

How often are you going to face a "spike" in RA?

I'm seeing quite a few of those gay shadowstepping D/A's solo spike people in RA as of late.

Used the HC bar in RA three times:
1 win & left
10 wins & left
15 wins & lose

it is quite good, and it can handle spikes on your self by maintaining vig spirit on yourself and CoP whenever you need health (preferably with patient spirit).
It isn't that strong, I still prefer a WoH healer. However it makes healing so much easier. It's as easy as the Sprison bar, thumpers & such

That HC monk bar might do the job but it's bad...promotes mindless spamming on red bars, no need for much observing or preproting...oh, wait...doesn't have prots.
/facepalm

That HC healspam monk...haha I gotta say it's one of the lamest bars I've played, but incredibly effective. For spikes (and for you just CoP yourself), maintain Vigorous spirit, hit patient spirit and then Dwayna's Kiss.

You'll see big enough packets of damage in RA to make the Healer's Covenant bar prone to not being able to heal other people fast enough.

It's not just the idea of "spike" though. The other part of the problem is being in an Arena where people don't have good positioning. Sometimes you need a quick prot/heal to save people by the time you get in casting range.

The build is better than I thought it would be but Healing Prayers really needs some real condi removal spells. Spotless Soul can be good but it fails in lot of situations. The bar would also really sing if Dwayna's Kiss could be replaced with an updated Orison of Healing (turn it into RoF for Healing Prayers...)

However, that said, I'm not sure if this kind of Monk build is a desirable thing to have in the game. It can be unfair against pressure, considering how nigh-invincible it is to shutdown.

Yeah, poor positioning is rampant in RA. If you run a dervish, sometimes its better to just start unloading on the balled up group than chase the monk. With the amount of power the dervish can dish out right now, it strains monks big time in RA.

Its possible for dervishs to pull this off in TA too, especially against monkspike when they go in for the spike(since the Dervish is rarely the target of such spike the first time around).

it is very (well, too) strong on its own in physical heavy team and combined with a secondary healer - either a rit or a smiter.

Amem, when I'm on my derv fighting Mo/A's, I usually go straight for the non monk softies and balled up enemies.

On the HC subject, I never found that build to be a problem for me, since It's easy to get 1/4 sec spells/skills on a Shock/disrupting/bull's strike or a Hammer Warrior Kd chain. What still wins when I'm playing the build or agaisnt it is zb/balanced stance, but I guess HC is a major problem for sins and similar conditions heavy builds.

Woh hybrid > HC spam. You need more skill to play it but it's more efficient. It has pretty much everything that HC spammer has and more.

[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill][skill]"Coward!"[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]Rush[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Standard KD spam build, it's hilarious in RA. Also, it kills shit extremely fast.

I've had good success with:

[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill][skill]"Coward!"[/skill][skill]Savage Slash[/skill][skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]Rush[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

as well.

I prefer bull's or shock to FGJ, even prot strike if I'm feeling angry. Double adren gets excessive with steelfang imo. Of course, if you just want to run perma-coward train all up in their faces, go for it.

I don't run steelfang, I find that skill pretty awkward to use (there are plenty of times when you want to use coward at range, or you get blocked or blinded as soon your target gets KDed, etc, it's just annoying). Maybe if the damage was on par with galrath/silverwing I'd consider it.

FGJ is mostly for MOAR damage with Sun and Moon slash generating big adrenaline.

BTW, why have bull's and coward on the same bar? Seems pretty redundant to me.
