pressure wise, it can pretty much out dps most other warrior builds:
you can rarely be in constant frenzy and flail but with battlerage you can just keep swinging your attack skills
as far as keeping you alive, it does pretty well in many situations... ofcourse its not going to make you invincible but last i checked the standard heal sig also has never been very good at keeping you alive if someone is focused on you
and ofcourse theres going to be builds that will just shut you down but so is the case with pretty much every warrior build in RA
|
.......I don't care how you explain, 10 in HEAL PRAYERS is bad on a warrior period.

I find this build interesting.
[skill]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill][skill]Wild Blow[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Crippling Sweep[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill]
If this is on pvx, I'm gon' cry.
Quick recharge skills, stance removal, enough health regen, cripple, IAS.
What more can you ask for.

Hmm, then swap [skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill] with [skill]Wearying Strike[/skill]
Though I'm not too fond of Weakness, unless we have a monk with a condition remover.
Either that or swap one of the enchants :[

A speed boost to chase down monks with half a brain who actually kite? Fortunately for you, 99% of RA players are bad, so that's not a problem, and bigger damage is better, especially when an ele will sit there for 5 seconds casting MS while you're pounding him down with lyssa.
Plus, the biggest dangers to a monk is the KD factor, which obviously scythes can't do.

Your right, though the stance removal has sure shone a light in those monk's eyes who use [skill]Balanced Stance[/skill] Leave's oppurtunity for other melee classes to come in and finish.
But obvioulsy it's RA, random classes, random players. Probs better in TA.
Edit: Displayed wrong skill.

I dont monk alot, barley at all actually, so im trying out somthing for fun in RA ^^.
Blessed light
Smiters boon
Smite condition
Smite Hex
Reversal of damage
Judges intervention
Castigation signet
Shield Bash, or something along those lines.
Max Smite and DF, minor runes with survivor armor, usual spear/shield with some energy swaps.
I know its not the greatest, but lets face it, RA barley throws anything at you that justifies WOH's large heals so some extra damage along with a solid monk build seems nice to me
Any idea of somthing semi usful i can use instead of judges?

why don't you just run that with balthazar's pendulum for blight and cop for shield bash. ;o that's easier on energy, can pump out more heal and saves you from all KD sources.

SoA
RoF
WoH
Holy Veil
Dismiss
Dark Escape
Guardian
Return
Some people take draw+mending touch+warrior skill instead of the dismiss+2 sin skills. There are a lot of different variations, and all depends on what you feel comfortable running.

RoF
WoH
Dismiss
Sbond
Guardian
Holy Veil
Balanced Stance
Shield Bash
11+1+1 heal, 10+1 prot, 8+1 DF, 6 tactics (maybe 7, forget). I sometimes take mend condition and mending touch, foregoing shield bash.

[skill]Reaper's Sweep[/skill][skill]Crippling Sweep[/skill][skill]Critical Eye[/skill][skill]Vital Boon[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill] + Way of the Master
12 Scythe Master
8 Earth Prayers
12 Critical Strikes
This is one of my favorite RA builds by far. WotM + crit eye for high crit chance and great e-management, Vital Boon + Mystic Regen for survivability, Crippling Sweep for a snare, Reaper's Sweep for a powerful killing blow. Way of the Assassin is a wasted elite IMO.
As for the last skill, it's a tie between [skill]Assassin's Remedy[/skill] and [skill]Conviction[/skill], but I usually go with Conviction for more survivability. It helps a lot in RA, when the majority of my team members are incompetent twats. AR can be better survivability sometimes though.

It's actually and Assassin with a scythe.
Looks like it does a fair bit of damage too. Assassins remedy would be my choice of the two for condition removal, forget Vital Boon and put in another offensive skill, perhaps an IAS speed buff like Whirling Charge, and swipe a couple of points out of Critical for it. 6 pips of Mystic regen is hardly a tank, but it's certainly better than the average Heal Sig Warrior so you shouldn't have much healing problems unless you forget to kite. Try and play a more mobile game.

Here is what I've been running lately...
Monk
Mo/A
Healing Prayers: 12+1+1
Protection Prayers: 10+1
Divine Favor: 8+1
Shadow Arts: rest
[skill]Word of Healing[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill][skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill][skill]Dismiss Condition[/skill][skill]Holy Veil[/skill][skill]Guardian[/skill][skill]Return[/skill]
Notes: This is a pretty standard build. All breakpoints are met. I have had much success with this, but I am considering replacing Return with something else (even though I like Return).
Ritualist
Rt/Mo
Channeling Magic: 12+1+2
Smiting Prayers: 12
Restoration Magic: rest
[skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Smite Condition[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Aura[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Strength of Honor[/skill][skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill]
Notes: Melee players enjoy the buff =P. This is a pretty standard Rit Smiter build. This build is extremely good if you get a good melee player(s) on your team because the matches tend to go very fast. Unfortunately, RA tends to be cruel when you run a build like this and give you no melee players on your team. I decided to go with this because I miss smiting builds =/
Assassin
A/?
Dagger Mastery: 11+1+1
Critical Strikes: 12+1
Shadow Arts: 8+1
[skill]Aura of Displacement[/skill][skill]Unsuspecting Strike[/skill][skill]Golden Phoenix Strike[/skill][skill]Horns of the Ox[/skill][skill]Falling Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Shadow Refuge[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Notes: Good old AoD sin with a slightly new taste. I've had some fun messing around with this lately (gogo winning 4v1 matches). I've always loved the flexibility of AoD which is why this is probably my favorite type of sin to play.

As I've said and will repeat until my death, if you're going to use a big prot in 4v4 then use spirit bond. Protective spirit is inferior to another small prot in almost every single case, at least spirit bond does something useful for you if they do 60+ damage.
And I've run a glyph of essence pheonix ele. It was something like GPS, horns, falling, twisting, conjure flame, glyph essence, pheonix, AoD. Not in RA, but it was still good times.
