Like the title says, is it worth coming back? All I did was Tombs before when I played..and it was dwindling a few years ago when I left so one can only assume it's about dead now (haven't logged on to check).

Anybody noteable still play in HA?

tl;dr - should I come back and try and relive HA glory or just sit back and remnisce?

Heroes ascent is for the most part dead. The only time it is active is during the bonus weekends and - to a lesser extent - when it is the zaishen combat. I would say it isn't worth it, but keep your eyes open for when the bonus weekend is and you could get back into it.

If you are looking to come back for HA and tombs, then don't. It died years ago.
To be honest 95% of this game is dead. People who are still on are either doing SCs, or trying to finish their HoM before GW2.

If all you want is HA, it's dead, sorry. There's a bit of new PvE content, the HoM obviously, and people do still play some PvP formats...and it's not like it'd cost you anything to log in and try it out. Not like you have to decide if it's worth it or not before you resub or something.

Not a good idea to come back exclusively for HA ( or for any organized PvP in fact) because :
- it's usually empty
- it relies on you having a lot of time( due to time to form, time to find opponents, time to do all maps, time to get to halls if there's noone there)
- the few time you can play, it's just not fun( guild team farming poor pugs, people raging after any lose, disconnects on monk happening a lot, unfair maps( 1v1 halls), etc...)

Tombs is pretty much dead; it's turned into basically a bunch of halls skips. But on double fame weekends or zaishen combat days (or, if you're lucky, the day after the zaishen combat) there's a small resurgence of people. It's nothing like it used to be though. Your best bet of seeing much of any action in Tombs is to get with a Tombs guild that's fairly large. There aren't very many players anymore (anyone specifically notable is gone, to answer your question), and of those very few form PUGs. But if you don't like the whole Tombs guild idea, and it isn't a double fame weekend or a zaishen combat day, then try during European midday-evenings, or (less likeley) American late evenings.

All that being said, it's entireley up to you as to whether you come back or not. It won't be the same, but that doesn't mean you won't still enjoy it. And it's not like you waste much by logging back in and checking - worst case all you have to do is install again and spend an hour or less (cumulative) seeing if you would consider it worth coming back to.

Besides, what've you got to lose?
