September GvG Monthly Automated Tournament Recordings
It's been a few years since the last time any GvG content was posted here in Riverside. Maybe there'll still be some interest.
GvG is still active. Ladder is the exclusive domain of the syncers now, but real matches still occur on a daily basis in the daily C automated tournament, and among the good guilds, the level of competition is still quite high. Several prominent players have been streaming and recording their matches with voice chat recently, and for yesterday's monthly AT, there were four streams along with a couple of other players who locally recorded matches.
Full results and team builds (work in progress) are available at BuildWars.net.
Dark (Dark Fail Backline from The Enemy Inside [Tilt]; playing prot monk)
Godly (V E R Y N I C E from Fluffy Rainbow Unicorns [cute]; playing domination mesmer/midline)
Skittles (Skittles Omg from Hoser Down [HD]; playing warrior/ele)
Reed (Reed Fails In from The Monstars Mean Team [Mean]; playing prot monk)
Extra recordings from people who didn't stream:
Nick (Hubet Hamsterhurter from The Enemy Inside [Tilt]; playing flagger)
Chunin (Chunin Teh Pirate from Fluffy Rainbow Unicorns [cute]; playing heal monk)
If you have questions or feedback for any of the players, feel free to PM them. Alternatively, you can also PM me ingame (IGN: A Girl Named Lucky).
Check out the link in my signature for more GvG content!

Yeah, it's unfortunate that Anet won't bother enforcing their own rules of conduct.
The guilds that the dedicated syncers play in isn't relevant, at least (the only match they managed to win on Saturday was against EDGE playing with henchmen).

Thanks Lemmings.
These videos are killing me to tbh. Makes me thirsty for competition, something besides the usual FPS/RTS garbage.
Can't stand MOBAS too. I honestly blame Guild Wars for that. Nothing beats Guild Wars system which makes 5v5 matches unbearable with such limited Skills and gameplay.
But seriously though, just how easy is to be a prot nowadays?! By looking at those videos I can say prots are having effortless time latterly.
At my time (2005-2010) I would be spiked to death each 1:55 minutes so I would respawn at the resurrection shrine and pre-prot was a huge deal, which doesn't seem to be the case nowadays by those videos.
Then again at that time bringing shield bash or balanced stance was mandatory, what would I know now :/
