I don't know if "innovative" is the best adjective here.

Me neither, looks like a regular RA build, of those with fairly advantageous potential.

And Lemming subtly remarked that it wasn't innovative for the very reason that it's not cutting edge nor new.

Umm... no one is flaming the bar or the build. What they are saying however, is that there is nothing new or innovative in it. ie. nothing original. This looks like a bog standard healing build. Putting innovative in the description would be similar to creating a a new and innovative Warrior bar with Mending and healing breeze (in terms of new and not in terms of effective).

ye I know that wamos already exist but this is not the same build. Not even close. This is an innovation on the WoH monk.

What exactly is innovative about it? The core of WoH/Patient/Cure/Draw/defensive stance on Arenas monk bars has been standard for years now; it's the flex slots that define what your bar is good/bad against. It's impossible for one bar to be good against anything - Rejuv/Veil/Mendtouch/Guardian/SB are all crucial against some matchups, and there's just not enough room for all of it.
If anything, a second self-preservation skill is the least useful way of using one of your precious skill slots. With no prot on your bar already, you have no way of forcing people to hit you instead of the 60AL wand set casters you'll inevitably get on your team, at which point you'll have two skills on your bar doing nothing.
That's not to say that the build doesn't work; it's just the same thing everyone else runs.

If we imagine the year was still 2007, however, I think you're just fooling around on purpose.

Not to hate on your build but people have been playing Mo/A with return/dark escape for many years, ever since Factions was released. IIRC, it was very popular with Blessed Light at the time. But WoH with Mo/A has indeed been around for many years (I can't tell you exactly when but others above me confirmed it) Don't get me wrong though, it is a solid bar. Thanks for sharing

If you had read my post, I already provided an example of a scenario where your build is inferior to others. To elaborate on it a bit more, you have nothing to deal with their damage characters hitting yours, and if theirs happen to have knockdowns (LSurge, earth eles, hammer warriors, hammer elite with daggers - all of which are reasonably common templates) and yours have no stances/other forms of self-defense, they'll be doing full damage against no prots while preventing your DPS from functioning. Assuming all other things are equal, that's a disadvantageous matchup.

Agreed, there isn't any anti KD on Mo/A, which you see almost every match. You'll die to it regularly. Warrior knockdown will keep you down until you die (Dark Escape isn't going to save you with such a long recharge lol). You won't be able to keep up with removing LSurge forever if cure hex is on recharge. I don't think veil is going to save you once you're pressured for energy. Earth eles will get free knockdowns on you which is super annoying when you're trying to heal. Mo/A has better mobility than Mo/W but doesn't have anything to stop them from knockdown spamming and killing you. Mo/W is popular for a reason. But like Lemming said, there's no perfect bar (you can only take 8 skills). Real difficult winning 25 nowadays with the small population and people switching builds to exploit your build's weaknesses right after losing to you.

Used to run this myself a couple years back, its nothing new or innovating, let alone "ahead of its time".
Its a fun build that has its uses, nice half damage stance, a nice diversion for engaging melee classes to make them kite.
But for actual protection of what it tries to prevent is lacking in the assassin skill trees.
Iv had some 25 sprees with this, but mainly as described by Lemming due the lack of backline police and KD's.
Mo/W has a even better pro-active and passive uses then the assassin skill tree is able to supply more then half of the PvP encounters, hence why for generic monking warriors are a preferred choice (Anti KD, Immume Crit Hits, Block, +Armor).
Though in all fairness, this build shines more in areas like Fort Aspenwood or Alliance Battles for its agile and evasive nature.

This is very true. Mo/A is better for big maps like in AB for sure. You can run around the map and cap faster (returning onto your teammates with speed buffs will allow you to keep up with them)
This is a good bar. But in today's RA, you see so much knockdown that it's frustrating enough that you need to address it, otherwise you'll keep getting punished for not bringing anti KDs.

You are 8 years late too make such claim, unless you want to conduct plagiarism I say this case is closed.

Original Creation of said build you made. (Pre Eye of the North.

Official first response too said build at the wiki talk page of the build.
Checked and Reviewed.

Note how at the optional skill that Cure Hex or Patient Spirit were not included, simply because they came with Eye of the North.
--
Other build with great similarity as your build. (Post Eye of the North) - roughly anywhere between October 2007 and 2009 afaik.
