QFT.

The HA lost its soul.... LIke i wrote in the previous post. 50% of the teams are vim, rest are some hex pressure or smite. Its all fame farm fest. People who doesnt care about the HA/ PVP scene, they just came to farm their emote by laing traps, and will leave happily with their deer after the event.

The only argument for "yes" is that organizing teams of 6 is easier. Why promote people with no social skills? If you have trouble forming 8 man party, why dont you play some singleplayer games? We have totally different problem. In a 6 man teams some of our players are left out. This isnt fun at all!!

New builds? Are you joking? have you played AT ALL? All I see is vim/smite/hex....

Ha isnt fun anymore. Another bad event....

HA has never been that fun. I'm just doing way more HA then normal in the hopes of farming a tiger, or at least r8.

Yeah it's pretty lame, 50% VIMWAY, 30% Smite, rest is hex pressure or whatever. 6 People really helps VIMWAY and it disgusts me really. VIMWAY prob takes absolutely no skills to play. It saddens me that r3-5 will probably be EVEN MORE meaningless after this event, and it was already pretty damn meaningless b4 that.

Though I DO like this event.

IMO ppl that are trying to farm their r3 isn't a *horrible* thing. It's tough to get into a decent pvp guild without some sort of pvp title. Or at least having that makes it easier. So lets say I fame farm to r3 in this weekend. How much easier is it going to be for me to get into an active pvp guild than it would when I was not ranked? And because people will have the option of being in active guilds, the participation could go up from those players.

Do some people have the intention of getting their emote and never coming back? Of course. But is that everybody? Not even slightly.

HA ID 1, american prime time. Event is just a vimway fame farm run. Worse hour by hour by hour. I think I'll pass and return when everything will return to normal ( hopefully wednesday )

this thread is just further proof as to why fame and rank have no value. HA hardcores that can't cope to the new environment hate it because a lot of them have no versatility or desire to be as such, they simply got used to one style of play and can't adapt because they have no real understanding of builds and skill.

Exactly, HA isn't bad just because of the fame farmers.

Fame farming seems quite pointless. Because if your r10 but have hardly ever held halls, you won't really be known. Somebody like Van here is known because they hold halls (saw you and Sno holding today). Even though everything is shaken up, they still are able to adapt and hold.

So no...rank doesn't mean much. But I still like the idea.

I dislike the event, it's still the same old BS of IWay (yes that still works news flash!), VimWay, BSpike, you name the gimmik it still works.

I vote make HA, random arena for a weekend, force people into a more balanced group.

And for those that think Vim is so easy it's not, have you any idea how many noobs, are trying that build and continusly screw it up, or the amount of times you face a group that knows.

I've play about 16 hours of this crap, and lost every single time I played!.

HA was crap before 6v6, it's crap after it, and when they change it back to 8v8 it will still be crap.

It's sort of hard to tell at the moment..it plays completely differently to anything else, though as someone pointed out, it feels more like TA than HA. As mentioned above, Rangers in their various guises are completely dominating.

I love TA, and I love 6-man HA. You might complain about the "noob builds" that are very popular, but it just makes me so happy to see emphasis fall away from spiking and toward real play.

Exactly - you love TA and you love new HA. Well, I dont love TA, and now I dont like playing HA either. Whats the point of making two huge arenas for TA players? When fans of 8 vs 8 got nothing now? ( gvg is a different story, as it is exclusively guild based ). Also I dont know what "real play" is , and why old HA wasnt "real play". Care to explain? Does "real play" means vim rangers and aoe smiters?

Real play balanced in class, with out over population of more than 2 classes, while builds from group to group will bring different skills / attributes, there is a more or less level playing field, which is more or less what I see in GvG, _EVERYWHERE_ else is built and designed for the quickest win, by zeroing in on one target killing it less than a second, refusing the monk to be able to even react much less play the game, just so some moron can farm you too get another 2 fame points, I bet if you made these lame ass HA groups to go up with a balanced build into GvG at 6v6 everyone would whipe the floor with them.

End result rank is without meaning or purpose.

My team were running SB/RI spike (for kicks), and we ran over any ViMway we found. But the majority of people, from our end, were random nukers using Starburst, with a lot of smite as well. Has it always been like this in HA (lots of Starburst)?

First, - if your monks are unnable to catch a spike ( doesnt matter what kind of spike ) , you should change them. If you're playing the monk, you should practice more, or stop altogether.

I never ever played vim, iway or other "lame ass build". Most of my fame is earned by playing a monk ( usually prot ) in above mentioned balanced builds. So please, stop insulting me personally and lets have this discussion going on civilized level.

I am sorry but I absolutely have to reply to this guy.
This is coming from me whos is a rank 10 (almost rank 11) "tombs player" (I hate the "HA" abbreviation") whos been pvping in GW for over 15 months and then some. I hope I dont start a flame war or my man JR with very limited tombs experience will lock this thread. now keeping this in mind I am not gloating im just giving you guys some of my feedback after 24 hours of this even like the topic starter asks..

Now to quote this guy right here. Ill 1st start by agreeing with him that rank has lost its value do to obvious reasons which is cool.. But I am going to ask you not to speak for all "rank 9,10,11+'s" that they cannot adapt to no real understanding of builds and skill. A guild like rurik drops the soap {soap} cannot because they played vimway today at dark chambers and took their time (40 mins to be exact). Another thing I will agree with this guy is that yes many of tombs hardcore players cannot adapt to a drastick change. But not all of us. What you just said is an understatement without any research.

Really quick on quoting Legendary Shiz..he said

Quote:

Me and my guys that I normaly play with arent as known as someones who hold halls like with MANY group holding thru lame dual and triple spirit spam and just beause you see "insert only 1st guy in party name" has won battle of hall of heroes message..dont forget the 7 or in this case 5 others that helped cuz GW is a team sport sir..nobody is godly. im pretty sure people dont even thank their monks which should be unwriten rule in gw!

Now moving back to what Van said about hardcore tombers not adjusting to this...Ok heres what I have to say. when this even started Ill admit I didnt adapt at all..neather did my squad..after all 8 man thing was for so damn long who would adapt...vimway and iway adapted nicely because ..just because its obvious no need to explain.. As a person with alot of experience thru accualy winning battles in tombs instead of holding all the time. Me and squad began to "adapt" to this 6 man team...and just like man Ness said in one of his replie in a diff topic...we went in with all our best 6 man talent...made atleast a 70%+ counter to what is massly run in tombs currently like that guy Nurse said is vim/thumpers/smite...ofcourse we lost in matches also just like everybody else but we managed to rack up so much damn fame that its not even funny...and you know what Van...i feel really bad for me and my squad "Adapting" to this bs event and like Ness said..we got all our talent and roll over all the TA and RA that is infesting tombs right now...If I wouldn't have to attend to Life today id probly be a 3rd of the way to rank 12 ..but hell we got 3 more days to play with my guildies imagine the posabilities for us "adapting" to this ..as far as dbl fame I dont care im here for a personal love to the principal of getting fame> I do not show my /rank title because im old school for it..I do like Wisdom titles tho
Somewhere in the back my mind I have a feeling anet will make tombs 6v6 but after this weekend the gain me and my guildies got is totaly cool..if me and my crew can adapt to 6v6 tombs with the current mass condition + mass Hex in a single 6 man team that we run atm and still capping alters and winnign relic maps..do thru 15+ months of tombs experience...then I guess GG us i dunno ;/...im not on anybody man here but im sure all the rank9+ with the same luck as us will agree.

and if u wana know we run a bleed ranger/posioner with utilities like interupts and a few nessesary traps needed to counter the bs in tombs/ a full illusionist degener/custom tactic warrior build and 2 monks..didnt see it on obs mode so if u say we stole it so be it but like i said...wer guilty of "adapting" Van

Sorry for a essay lol...good day
