Default Need help with my knockdown warrior

at the moment i am using what is propably the same hammer build that alota folks use

W/E

Devistating hammer (elite)
Crushing Blow
Heavy Blow
Berserkers Stance
Sprint
Bulls Strike
Shock
Rez

Attributes are 16 hammer 13 strength and 3 air
I also have the stonefist gauntlets.

This build is alota fun and with it i can keep a monk on the ground for a long ass time. but i find myself feeling like trying somthing new for my warrior.

and i was thinking about going pure axe warrior and throwing in skullcrack for team arenas.. i think if the dazed dosent get removed i could do some real damage.

pretty much im looking for some cool ideas that are not played a ton for a w/x

If you got any ideas or anything please throw them my way.

You have no Frenzy. Frenzy owns.

-First of all, Devastating-Crushing is good. Frenzy is a must... the best IAS there is.
-But that means 2 energy skills... so a third one for your speedboost would be overkill, so use Rush.
-Heavy is not so great, it causes to lose all your adrenaline and doesn't combo well with Rush... because you'll be stuck in Frenzy after Heavy Blow. A good alternative is Fierce Blow, doesn't cause you to lose adrenaline, and does some nice damage if weakness is still on your target.
-Bull's Strike is good. so let's keep that in.

So we have:
Devastating Hammer
Crushing Blow
Fierce Blow
Frenzy
Bull's Strike
Rush
Rez Signet

And... your 8th slot is optional. =)

Instead of bulls you could also use protectors strike, frequent +100 hits with a hammer at 10 strenght

What would the perfect hammer be for this build?

Malinon's Skull Crusher. Increases weakness by 33%. Perfect for Devastating Hammer.

Increases weakness is absolutely useless... It'll never stay on its full duration if theres a monk on the opposition. I agree with Fallen and Remmeh, I'd pick heal sig or disrupting chop for your 8th, depending on your team.

You should have 2 hammers, a vampiric of fortitude and an elemental (ie. ebon) to use against warriors. Some people prefer Furious to vamp, I like vamp... I'm really not a warrior though :P

Eh, Sno is right, you really don't want a heavy mod on your hammer >_> Instead, you want vamp/furious+elemental. I've been hearing that the armor pent mod can also come up with some big numbers, but its not as consistent as the +5's you get from hammers.

On a Hammer, I think Furious is almost a must, at least on my build. More adrenaline, more KD chains, more shutdown.

Here's what I run:

Hammer: 16
Strength: 13 (you can wear Sentinel's Chest and Legs)
Air: Rest

Furious Axe of Hammer Mastery, 15^50

1. Devastating Hammer E
2. Crushing Blow
3. Heavy Blow
4. Shock
5. Distracting Blow
6. Sprint
7. Endure Pain
8. Rez Sig

If you time your skills correctly (namely interrupting key things like Guardian on a boon monk, and waiting for the target to get up before you KD it again), you basically have 4 straight KD/Interrupt skills which not only shut down, but do damage as well. If you have any help at all you can take out most booners with ease. (The smart ones know to remove Deep Wound asap, so interrupting/shutting down CoP is a must vs them). I run this build in the arenas and it's a lot of fun.

But the furious mod doesn't do as much as you'd think, considering the swing rate of a hammer is much slower than a sword/axe. So with frenzy on, compaired to a sword with frenzy on th adren gain is pretty far apart. Though, if you don't need the extra damage from vamp (or ele) than furious still would serve a nice purpose. Don't use zealous though. Not enough energy regain from attacks to make up for loss of pip.

People always use rush, and I can see why. But personally, I love to bring sprint. Yeah, the fact that it takes energy does suck. But, I like to not have to worry about having enough adren to use rush if I need to cancel out of frenzy instantly. That extra second or two could be the difference in life and death. But rush isn't a bad choice, just throwing out my two cents.

Ole Man, I'm not a big fan of Endure pain. Yes, it can be useful when your taking a lot of damage, and it gives you time to sprint away and heal up (even though you don't have a heal in your build). But I would much rather have heal sig in there than Endure Pain.

let's me say something, first i need to know which hammer build are u talking about, is it for ta or gvg.
If it's for ta, here is the build:
Frezny
Rush
Devastating
Fierce Blow or Crushing Blow
Heavy Blow
Irresistible Blow Or Crushing
Healing Signet
Rez
Hammer = 13+3
Str = 9+10
Tactic = 9+10
Weapon set= vampiric, elemental. i like sundering personally:-/ cause it's expensive...
reason i choose this build is, hehehe inep mes and anti warrior hate is alot in ta, and the thing is, mes usually degen u, so wat i would do is, waiting for the right moment, use healing sig to keep my self alive, and spike, GG

GvG build
Frenzy
Rush
Devastating
Fierce Blow
Crushing
Hammer Bash or Bull Strike or Shock or Protector spike
Healing Signet
Rez signet
Hammer = 13+3
Str = 8+1
Tactic = 10+1
reason people run this build for gvg is only because, they trying to adren spike as fast as they could
ignore the spelling btw

Three indicates a trend and these three statements all showcase a clear misunderstanding of game mechanics and Guild Wars PvP.

He also occasionally runs Skull Crack... Sundering is statistically worse than Vampiric, it cannot be argued any other way. You stated that you liked it because it is expensive, and Paladin uses it. That is two of the most ridiculous reasons I have ever heard. Honestly.

And please to try to not turn every thread you start into some kind of e-peen competition.

Maybe switch out Shock for Aftershock?
I know someone that used to run with Devestating Hammer, which if I remember correctly, knocks down the target and adjacent targets. Aftershock will then hit twice and no exhaustion like Shock causes.
