I think Glyph of Energy + Gale Spamming on a mesmer will be too much KD spam. It was already an effective combination at 10 secs recharge.

when dervish train was meta it not only avoided block put ripped all pre prot - the important stuff isn't just about block - like sb, prot spir, soa, shield hands, etc etc - and it lasted a stupid amount of time. The old one was able to remove block and rip every other protective enchantment you could keep on your target. And it still was easy to train down. The fact that it can't be blocked is nice, but the power of the old train was that you couldn't keep anything on the target to mitigate the damage.

I really don't understand why GoE got buffed. It was already really nice energy management paired with the ability to use gale, but now it becomes mindless spamming on recharge instead of careful usage of skills.

That's what I was thinking. Exhaustion is a balance and anti-spamming mechanism which works really well. Glyph of Energy makes your next spell exhaustion-free and energy-free and although it consumes your elite slot, I feel it was already pretty good at 10 seconds. I think it was buffed to see more play/variety on eles in high end PvP but with complete disregard to mesmer abuse.

I suppose it is d-shot fodder, though.

It looks like this round of updates is focused on getting more split teams going instead of the flagstand camping meta. I am all for it, more to think about, better to watch in obs.

And how do you want to get an effective deep wound from that avatar? As Kaon wrote - its no pressure, pure spike charr. And even as he doesnt get blocks, other melees and paragons does.

I just played a match and i died before 18 and baseressed. I never got Victory is Ours, and it took untill 21:30 for VoD to trigger. We lost the match because of that, gay.

What guild were you playing with and who was your opponent? I will see if we can track down the problem.

Wow this is very win, I like the blood changes, introducing more stuff into the playing field. But pleak might not be worth it, at 10 energy?

Also, good counter balance, or at least attempt, on stuff with 2 casting time.

Actually we have not seen this in any other game on obs mode or otherwise. I'm still waiting for the particulars of that match so we can investigate, but it looks to either be an isolated incident, or the report was inaccurate.

Hmm... I quite like some of the changes, but i suppose the metagame will move to hardcore split and/or hardcore 8on8 spike builds, balanced will be harder to play (unless it's played as a spike).
Pressure got nerfed without any obvious reason (heal party on a hb monk is insane, just as all the other party healing skills)

Glyph of Energy is just overpowered now; it already was with a 10sec recharge. Now It'll improve mindless gale spamming even more -.-

It wasn't on obs but it was:

People Who Annoy You [nggr] vs Random guild i dont know the name of. (was pugging so wasnt in the guild and coudlnt check history) Rating range was 1050-1070

It was on wurms isle. I made sure to run next to our NPCs cause back in the day it would reapply that way. But for over 3 and a half minutes i didnt receive anything. A guildie complained it took him 45s to get the VoD buff, i dont know whether he got ViO.


It's happened plenty of times that after res vod didnt apply instantly, but after a few seconds i'd always get it.

I get the impression that gvg is getting really one-dimensional; it's true the only one objective of it is to kill the guild lord, but you could do it in several ways; now there's no reason not to do it just by dedicate splits. The skill updates can always get an wtf from me ... power leak ether renewed, GoE even better (but why exactly?), mending refrain made garbage while it could be just changed to non-endless. Trebuchets not working on vod .. just so your ultra-npcs do make it to the stand, oh yeah, vod still at 18 min.
