without that u can pretty much /resign tho, unless u got a mel resilience monk in ur team or no physicals.

ebon dust build is quite an old build now.
ebon dust D/P works well when it doesn't run into that. To be fair, if you run into a team with both a FOTM CE/WoD/FF/PS necro and a Mo/w you will most likely lose no matter what you have. Necro's are overpowered right now and everyone knows it.

Mo/W, take off Draw, SB and Return for defensive warrior stances. Or other tanking shit. As a monk in RA, you'll get hit with everything from everyone in the oppossing team. I've seen a couple of peeps running Kinetic Armor, Healer's Covenant and Vigorous Spirit, and you'd be surprised how well it performs considering how most people just bashes at monks without seeing what they're using.
I run monk in RA all the time, and i'm just getting tired of Mo/W - don't get me wrong, it's definitely strong, but it's gay (it's also boring - i run it a ton in Intl and Korean dists.) I still run my old MoC templates, my SoR bonder, SoR protter, GoLE ZB, Glimmer, etc.

I know how epic Mo/W is, just wondering what you guys like to pack when you stir it up and go Mo/A.

Well at any case you could use Smoke Powder Defense and Return (crippling weapon), but you need more points in Shadow.

IMO you need RoF.

I, as a Warrior, use Griffon's Sweep for moar constant KD locks (lol nine seconds), but find blind shit almost as annoying as stupid mesmers with Wastrel's Worry (seriously WTF).

I'm not really familiar with what people are running normally since I just came back to teh game, but I usually run this:

Reversal of Fortune
Guardian
Dismiss Condition
Zealot's Benediction
Contemplation of Purity
Holy Veil
Return
Dark Escape

Did everyone enjoy the Double Faction weekend? I sure did. I unlocked about 30-40 PvP skills, and some other goodies, so I probably got about 50k faction over Saturday and Sunday.

Not to sound gloom and doom, but it was just as bad as the last one which which set a very low expectation. Arenas, both RA and TA, just aren't fun unless you play on off hours when most of the serious business title farmers ruining the game are gone.

Here's my latest haha RA build if you're brave enough to frenzy a sin:

Assassin/Warrior

Critical Strikes: 12
Axe Mastery: 12

Dismember
Malicious Strike
Distracting Strike
"Coward!" {e}
Frenzy
Rush
Way of the Master
Resurrection Signet

Has all the stuff needed for a proper frontliner, IAS, IMS, interrupt, snare and a spike.

Hit's about as hard as an evisce-axe with conjure and frees up some adrenaline for laughs with coward.

Use Nightstalker's (+15 attacking) or Blessed (+10 enchanted) insignias or to give yourself a little more defense.

You can use Coward! when you're the coward to get linebackers off your nuts for a bit.

Every caster I see now is /w with either frenzied defense, or 2 stances to alternate between. It is so annoying to try and run any physical now and days. I have a feeling the shattering assault sin could easily make a huge comeback with the exception of shield bash to block your lead.

If ya can't beat them, join them I guess and get casters to damage. A/me or a/mo deadly arts spam should be good.

I will say mo/a can't compare to mo/w in terms of defense. I use a basic backbreaker sin in ra some times and the second I see a mo/a I am glad, I just wait out until they don't use guardian (if they even have it) then can instantly spike them out before they even know what hits them. They always cast return the second they stand up, but since blades of steel already started hitting them, it will finish as they teleport away.

For the 2 days in which Way of the Assassin applied to all weapons, I had some serious fun with an axe. Nothing could ever be more fun than Frenzy that never has to be canceled.

Flail & Strength would be my guess? W/P and Para in general are pretty lousy.

lol @ dedicating 2 skill slots (1 being elite) to a highly unreliable form of e-management

its strong and brave and this is what matters. (also it's not that unreliable , you just need to hit someone two-three times to get all your energy back while they have a condition...not that hard tbh.)

D/E ice enchant (not a new idea, but it works)

OgalsgpqqtKs7IAeGtTy9/l5OgBw

12+2 - Scythe Mastery
8 - water magic
9+1 - wind prayers
5+1 - mysticism

[Resurrection Signet][Conjure Frost][Frigid Armor][Attacker's Insight][Crippling Sweep][Mystic Sweep][Chilling Victory][Wounding Strike]

If you want a IMS you can switch Frigi armor with the skill of your choice.
it works well and it's really easy to use

Mystic Regen
Heart of Fury
Barbed Spear
Disrupting Throw
Spear of Redemption
Holy Spear
Res Sig

and oh my god, talk about turning physicals into a waste of time, blind on 4 ppl constantly if so desired? Yes please. yum yum nom nom. I did have wild blow instead of holyspear but the additional pressure of the latter is far better at hurting monks then taking their stance. Can anyone tell me whats the point of an Ele blind bot when this can be run instead? The only thing that killed this build was a blured vision hex.

Thoughts any other options on this? I tried with a ranger but it just didnt work as smoothly.
What I can't figure out is why would anyone take Holy Spear in RA? I mean, I know the majority of people in RA are idiots, but, they seem smart enough to realize that you can't play MM due to the lack of corpses. Plus, I can count the amount of times I've run into a Spirit Spammer on one hand. The rest of the build seems great for RA, but, that Holy Spear is really bugging me.

I play a good deal of RA, and I mainly play a SLW Resto Rit for fun. I drop a Bloodsong and that's it. Almost every other Rit I run into does the same thing. They drop one spirit, very occasionally two, and then they're done. I almost never run into a Rit who drops three or more spirits. Furthermore, Rits are the most underrepresented class in RA other than Paragons, so, there's just no reason to dedicate a skill slot to the removal of spirits.

Unless of course, all of the spirit spammers play between 12:00 AM and 9:00 PM EST. Then, it's just that I don't play at the same times they do ever.
