there is alot of hate for second wind yet is is meant to be used as a last resort, as most elementalists know if their energy runs out they are sitting ducks, if you have 30 points of exaustion and absolutely no energy that 30 points even with the extra exaustion may just be the diference between dieing in the pvp arenas.
ps
btw i know that people will say that with energy management you cant hit 0 energy but when a mesmer with energy stealing skills sets his mind to you, you dont have much chance of energy management.

arcane zeal has a lot of uses, doesn't have to come from derv ench. Arcane also counts as one enchant. Incoming is an extremely good elite, stops spikes in a heart beat. Balths pend could be better if it effected more than 1 KD.
Damn you Wii Internet Channel.

Shadow Form Sucks. Sooo many times has it failed my while farming greens.
No one uses it in pvp. end.
but to be realisitc "The power is yours" is really crappy. First of all yey i gained 7 energy I can cast orison of healing one more time! Oh to bad the paragon not only suffers the 10 energy loss but also -10energy regen for 10seconds which actually comes out to wasting 43 energy. Or if the Paragon only had 10 energy he is basically useless for the next 10 seconds throwing his leet spear for 10 damage.

Actually, the Spear has incredible DPS, as well as just about the best IAS in the game - Agressive Refrain - available to it.
"The Power Is Yours!" still sucks though, yeah.

Warrior skills:
[skill]Whirling Axe[/skill] [skill]Skull Crack[/skill] [skill]Forceful Blow[/skill]
Whirling and Forcefuls are bad. Axe is bad, because it has lower DPS than Cleave, and Forceful, because it is only +damage and weakness... And both have horrible side effects - 15 sec disabled or knockdown? With that much amount of blocking in PvE, they are really useless. And Skull Crack - 9 adren to interrupt one foe? And WOW, Daze... Only in FoW farming build ;d
Ritualist skills:
[skill]Defiant was Xinrae[/skill][skill]Xinrae's Weapon[/skill]
No, rly. Who uses this? Before and after nerf (and after disnerf)... I never seen anyone.
Dervish skills:
[skill]Avatar of Grenth[/skill] can be usable only in PvE with the Sunspear skill.
Monk skills:
[skill]Amity[/skill] [skill]Peace and harmony[/skill]
Amity... no way this is a skill. Even non-elite, it's almost useless. And PnH is good only because a high-ranked guild is named after this skill.
Elementalist skill:
[skill]Second Wind[/skill]
C'mon... Use this over SF/SH/dual attunements?
Assassin Skill:
[skill]Wastrel's Collapse[/skill]
A joke, not a skill. Elite joke.
Ranger skill:
[skill]Archer's Signet[/skill]
Woot, free Concussion Shots. Leet. I would rather take BHA or Prepared Shot or any other elite.
And one thing - Poison Arrow was one of the best elites before Factions, so if you say it's bad elite - you are a bad player.
Mesmer skill:
[skill]Tease[/skill]
At first I would put Keystone Signet, but with the buff to Fast Casting, some people may start using signets to fight. Tease is currently the most useless, the worst balanced skill EVER. But if not the part ,,ends if foe hits you'', I would take this elite. Or if it was AoE. In The Area.
Paragon skill:
[skill]"Incoming!"[/skill]
Yay, Kormir has a useless skill!
Necro skill:
[skill]Plague Signet[/skill]
Still sup-par elite.

Minor disagreements with a few skills:
[skill]Plague signet[/skill] = I tried this after the recent buff. The old n/mo draw conditions combo actually works pretty well now. Tried it in TA with a N/mo Curses ( insiduous parasite, price, ect. ) and used this. Especially good now that TA meta is daze heavy, and nothings sweeter then taking daze off your monk and putting it on THEIR monk ftw, while shutting down their melee at the same time.
[skill]peace and harmony[/skill] People dont seem to notice the one reason why this skill isnt as uberleet as Mantra, or OoB, or Offering of Spirit, or pretty much any other e-management skill. You can put it on other people. 1 monk using peace and harmony on himself ? Crap elite, No where near worth it. P&H in a 3 ~ 4 monk team, with one monk maintaining it on himself and the others ? Now we have something elite worthy here. Whats good in this setup is that the other monks dont have to worry about it.

Really? PnH is 5 energy in 15 seconds. So you gain... what? 30 energy in 90 seconds? Hell, you can get with good old Mantra of Recall 22 energy in 20 seconds, or, if you like, 99 in 90 seconds. You get about 3 times more energy... Sure, you pay a little bit, so the net gain is smaller, but same with PnH.

Did you actually read the reason why I said PnH isnt bad ?
I know the net gain from PnH is crap compared to other elite energy gain.
The idea behind it is for one monk to maintain it on multiple monks. Then the net gain averages out. Note the high duration despite its low recharge and ability to target allies.
Its definatly not the greatest elite, but its not bad either.

My take on a few ranger skills is as follows.
[skill]Expert's Dexterity[/skill]
I've tried so hard to put this in a build with no luck.
Kinda depressing...
[skill]Scavenger's Focus[/skill]
Low conditional damage on an elite skill FTL.
[skill]Lacerate[/skill]
What the &*#% !!
It's worse than toxicity...

I disagree that vow of strength is the worst dervish elite, ever tried it in combination with Aura of Holy Might, combined with an increased attack speed it can tear thru most mobs.
Again, spirits strength is awesome. The spirit assassin build can deal huge amounts of damage in AB.

Glimmering mark and spirit's strength are both awesome. Perma blind hex unless removed, or imba damage Rt/A's.

teasewnage skill on the right enemies(and if theyre hitting....ever heard of blind?)
xinrae'sve mob shutdown=ftw
skull cracklay it in the right build and you got a nice pressure run
but imo worst elite is archer's signet(pfft...zero energy bow attacks...when you have expertise ANYWAY?)
EDIT:also will like to say primal rage and derv dmg buffs are ftw:P
and the fact that vow of strength with derv dmg buffs own too

SPIRIT's STRENGTH IS THE WORST RITUALIST ELITE!?!?!?!?
Gah sorry for caps, I just feel like ripping someone's head off. =D
Surely it's not the best, but it's incredibly fun and has it's uses. Ever consider a Rt/D with that skill? Add aura of holy mght to that mix. Thinking of changing your mind yet? Thought so.

Spirit's Strength is not a bad elite.
Put it on a Rt/D and you have a melee killing machine.
Put it on a Rt/A and you have some extreme dps.

Does anyone else here think that [skill]Primal Rage[/skill] might actually be decent if it were in Beast Mastery on a Ranger?
EDIT: Also, [skill]Shroud of silence[/skill] utterly destroyed my high DPS ele hero team last night. Not the worst skill for a sin IMO.
EDIT 2: [skill]Vow of Strength[/skill] + [skill]Heket's Rampage[/skill] seems like a nice combo to me. VoStrength worst elite? No.

worst elite in the game
Balths pendulem really has no use at all. I can't even think it would be good as a non elite skill.
