Survivor or Radiant
Hi,
I know this been talked about alot, and some people would say its a matter of preference in most places. In some places you NEED to have survivor i think and some you NEED ot have radiant, but which one.
The reason I made an assassin is because I think they look cool, I will buy the coolest looking set of armor and I want to use it all the time, even if I PvP, PvE, H/H or farm if can. Should I go with Survivor or Radiant?
Which one would be most versatile?
Thank you. Im level 11 now and IMHO I think Asuran looks the best, so I will get that tomorrow.

Personally I run a mix so I have +5e off my armor and survivors on the other parts. FYI just buy multiple sets of armor and have each tailored for a different job, there's no such thing as a "true" multi-purpose armor when some choices are obviously better than others in some places(radiants when UW farming because you aren't taking damage that often except the rare shock)...

Survivor always. Unless you're farming or something where it doesn't matter.
Go Survivor and learn to manage your energy and you will live longer. It's as simple as that.
If you need energy then get a +5e weapon and +12 energy offhand, or a +15/-1 energy set for desperate measures.

You need radiant in rare cases where your build has a long, expensive skill chain that you want to deliver in rapid succession. Radiant can give you a deep enough energy pool to fire it off when you otherwise can't. Please note, however, that radiant doesn't do anything to help you get energy back as fast as you're spending it -- a deeper energy pool is NOT energy management!
Outside of those cases, you want to use an insignia that boosts survival. That's what survivor does. It's usually not my choice -- for PvE purposes, most classes have access to a +armor insignia that's better -- but that's what it's there for.

Survivor!
Radiant isn't neccessary (unless you're using alot of high energy things right away-in which case I'd pare some of that back or you're running a farming build) as you get a ton of energy just from Critical Strikes+Critical Eye. Top it off with a zealous and you can spam 5 energy skills and never run out of energy (in fact, you'll be gaining it!).

I understand that different sets of armor is good, specially when it comes to farming some things is needed to be. But now I am thinking away from that.
For PvP and PvE 1 set... you say energy on armor and survivor on rest?

Words of f***ing wisdom man.
You don't know how many times I've seen people tell me that having a high-energy storage attribute is all the energy management they need... >_>
To contribute to the topic:
Survivor > Radiant in most scenarios (Night-Stalkers insignia's are also a good choice)
Radiant > Anything whilst farming, in most cases.

Fix'd.
You can weaponswap - why bother giving up a damage boost - any damage boost - for energy which does nothing for you?
on-topic - survivor, unless you're using a long spike chain that absolutely cannot be powered at 30 energy (base, +5e daggers). And given the prevalence of [[Shattering Assault] builds and the popularity of [[falling lotus strike] in long chains, I don't use radiants at all nowadays.

While I see your point, 25 max energy--hell, even 30, won't be enough to power shenanigans like high [Shadow Prison] builds. 30 may be able to handle some, but its a small margin requiring full energy and to usually critical on the first attack skill or two.
