Here's a couple of yes/no questions to see if you're having bad luck or not :

- Are you screwing up in the earlier runs ?
- Are you farming on a weekend with other collectable drops ( birthday cupcakes, three leaf covers ... ) ?
- Have you been farming for more than 2 hours ?
- Have you farmed anything else before going to UW ?

By observation ( over and entire month, 2 hours/day ), I've noticed that those might be factors in reducing the ectos drop rate.

Bad luck =/= Nerfed

It is possible to get 2 ectos every run for a day...

It is possible to get 0 ectos every run for a day...

Though it isn't likely, it is still damn possible.

for 2 weeks (only on weekdays, 9-10 runs/day: so in about 90-100 runs), I didn't get a single ecto with my VwK warrior.
I don't know, if it's been nerfed, or just a string of a bad luck, but I've fed up, took my ele to Chantry, and started to farm mindblades: 3 ecto was the least, I've got from them, but I got 5-6 in average

OMG GUYS! Anet totally nerfed farming. Me and some guildies went and killed some Ravengers (with a blood spike team) in NM. We made it there, killed like three of them and didn't get ANY ECTOS WTF!!?!?!?!?!!?! Anet must have nurfd farmings.

Just because your drops have sucked, doesn't mean the farm has been nerfed, or that drop rates have gone down. MAYBE they have, but threads like this won't prove/disprove that. All you'll get are people agreeing and whining, people whining at the people who are agreeing and whining, and people like me; pointing out the pointlessness of these threads, and whining about all the whining.
If you want to really test the droprate, get 100 people. Have them all run the same build, and kill the same things. Have each of them do 10 runs then find how many collective ectos you got. 25-100 runs are NOT enough to draw conclusions. 1000+ are enough to make reasonable assumptions.
I solo UW with my necro, my warrior and my ele. I've had more 0 ecto runs than I care to count, but I've had 5-6 ecto smite runs as well. If Anet nerfs ecto drops, you won't see the trader go from 5.5 to 6k like they are now. If Anet nerfs the drops, they'll do it hard and you'll see ectos go up to 10k+

TL;DR Stop making these threads

Two days ago I was doing a 55/SS combo for Uw and kept continuing for about 6 runs and was ecto-less. After that I just gave up. So I think it might be nerfed or I am always having bad luck.

Bolded for emphasis. Next time, you might get 6 ectos in one run, and your brain will confirm the luck part.

Its human nature to ascribe things we don't understand (statistical probability) with a paranoid idea that the man (i.e. ANet) is out to get us.

I'm pretty sure they don't have some guy in front of a big "Drop Chance Dial" constantly moving it about when only certain players are farming UW.

Chance. There is no force, so luck does exist lol.
