Hello,

I've been reading about runes that you should imbue on specific armor parts.
So far I have a minor dagger rune on my 'helm' (which has +1 dagger mastery already, so +2 dagger mastery in total on helm) and a minor crit strike rune on my gloves. Now I want to buy a major vigor rune, but I'm not sure on which armor part I should apply it. I hope I posted this is the right section, as I wasn't sure if it's the same for all professions.

I normally put vigor runes on my feet, but it makes no difference.

Generally, I put Vigor on my chest as it's the part I'm not likely to swap out.

Minor deadly and shadow go on gloves and boots, as it's cheaper to pick up new pairs of boots/gloves for rune switching.

I save my chest piece for runes that are "+3 on chest +2 on legs +1 on other" or "+15 chest +5 legs..."
Feet, golves annd head are for runes that are not as versatile- like ones that are just +1/2/3 to "dagger mastery" or normal vigor runes for head/feet/gloves

It doesn't matter where you put the runes, they have the same global effect no matter which piece gets it (IIRC Absorption MAY be slightly different).

Locational differences only apply with "insignias" such as armor modifying ones like Nightstalker's only take effect if that armor piece is hit. Survivor and Radiant also have different magnitudes dependent on which armor they go into.

But insignias and runes take up different "slots" on the armor. Hope that helps.

As The Stormlord ...

Headpiece: Mastery (because you'll swap them most often);
Chest: Vigor of choice;
Legs: Vitae (or Clarity mainly on melee characters);
Hand and Feet: secondary attributes / vitae ... usually have at least two sets that i can swap accordingly to builds (and headpiece)

(Head) The only one that matters is the attribute you want highest, which you want to match with the headpiece for +2 on that one piece. Makes swapping out much easier.

(Chest) I put my Vigor rune here for two reasons: first, it gives me that role-playing feel... your health being on your heart, stamina, all that. Second, your chest armor piece will be the most expensive as will your vigor rune. You won't want a secondary chest piece, and since a vigor rune will make it into ALL of your armor sets, you ought to put it there.

(Hands) I put my secondary attribute here. Critical Strikes is a good one. Also gives you that RP feel of your skill being on your hand piece and is a cheaper armor piece for swapping.

(Legs) Vitae. Always.

(Feet) Vitae again unless I'm for whatever reason needing a 3rd attribute (which... I don't think I ever do). If you *are* using 3 attributes though again this is the next cheapest piece for swapping.
