D/mo Healer
I was looking at http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:D/..._Party_Support that build and thought it looked interesting. I imagine that the D/N Support Derv would synergize well with the D/Mo. How do heroes use RoF though?

That build sucks. It has no self-enchantments to allow for real party healing, and any enchantments that the user can use to cast on himself have pathetic durations.

i feel like theres no real HEALING involved just kinda...protection. i suppose you could pass as a desparate back-up healer with that.

I like Avatar of Melandru, Vital Boon, Eternal Aura, Imbue Health and Draw Conditions all together. Add other skills as you see fit, but keeping melandru up all the time makes draw conditions just awesome, and the extra health from it and vital boon means you can snatch teammates from the brink of death to great health in no time.

I have to agree with Fluffums-that build just looks terrible. I can see the theory behind it, but I'm not convinced.
And to be honest, I don't really see it synergizing well with the D/N orders. I suppose you might be able to get away with it if the damage is the rest of the team, but if it's you and H/H, then I wouldn't really bother.

Crazy looking build. Not sure i'd dedicate a Hero slot to small Prots and random weak party heals. It's really only likely to have Pious Renewal and Vow of Piety on itself so Mystic Healing is meh.
Worth a try just to see if a Hero can run it.

I ran something like this before:
[build prof=D/N][Pious Renewal][Order of Pain][Dark Fury][Signet of Pious Light][Mirage Cloak][Vital Boon][Imbue Health][Mystic Sandstorm][/build]
Heroes seem to do alright with it, though it sucks when the Signet gets interrupted/KDed.

I imagine that it would synergise quite well with the D/N, but theres also the issue that it is semi-reliant on the D/N for energy (from the enchants it throws out). Which means that if the D/N goes down, your D/Mo is boned.
The best hero builds can stand up for themselves, but also synergise with the rest of the team.

The only synergy between D/N would be Pious Renewal Healer/Protector (12+1 Mysticism, 12 Healeing or Prot). It's just a matter of spells really, but put a lot of 1/4 and heroes are able to spam it well with a great energy management.

A: Heroes are bad with RoF.
B: DefenSive, not DefenCive.
C: Arcane Zeal > Pious Renewal.

The reason the D/N works is because the enchantments that it casts hit itself as well as others, thus fueling cheap spells through Arcane Zeal as well an energy return when those enchantments end.

Just tested the d/n and d/mo and it seemed to work. They have close to full energy during most battles which already makes it seem better than a monk. But my original question wasn't really answered. How are heroes bad with RoF?

RoF is great as a save from spike when you mess up but seeing how PvE spike are almost always coincidence or someone overextending, they don't come up too often. Even when they do, heros treat RoF as any other normal prot/heal and spamming it on ppl who don't need it.

Heroes are just bad at targeted prots.
For example, if someone is tanking, they'll use Prot Spirit on say....the back line Ele.
It'll be the same way with RoF.
