Drop Rate Help?
Hi!
Haha, I'm rather new to Guild Wars. >> Also sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I didn't see it. Only been playing for a month and a half, but I love playing/farming in Nebo. I'm a Mes/Monk, if that matters?
Ive noticed my drops there haven't been nearly as good in the past few weeks. (I haven't seen a gold in ages, and purple is hard to come by too.) Is there anyway to get this rate back up? I wrote to ANet, but they were incredibly unhelpful with their "it's just random." I suppose it could be, but my rates seem far worse than they used to be.
I solo farm, too, so I can't decrease party size to get the rates back up. I did a mission and bonus (Gates of Kryta), which some people said fixes the rates, but it didn't. So if you have any suggestions, I'd much appreciate it. (Haha, it's one of the few places I can 55 IW, so I'll miss it if I can't go back.) Thanks for the help!

It's random.
Also, in HM drops are of better quality then in NM.
The fact that you're solo, means you get WORSE drops, seeing as there's loot scaling (The more players in your party the more drops you get)
But overall, if you're in NM then I suggest going to HM, and if you are there, well... You're having bad luck =)

Maybe. Oh, and I HM (I 55 IW woo).
But it does say this on the official wiki "Though the exact specifics are unknown, farming continually for certain items, at certain areas, or on certain enemies may cause an unannounced decrease in the quality and quantity of drops you will receive. This decrease is effective for the whole game. Though theories exist, it is uncertain how to regain the loss of drop quality."
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. Let's hope I have better luck!

Yeah, that was the anti-farming code that was supposidly ''removed'' by A-net.
If I was you, I'd play your monk elsewhere for a few hours, maybe farm another spot and come back, to see if it works.
(And not just 1 missions, because that's... 30 min, but stay away for like 5-6 hours and then see if there's a difference.)
