I've just hit 20 with my ele/necro. and so far all I have in my skill bar are air skills (see below). is there anything that I need to add to my skill bar?
skills atm are > [skill]Lightning Strike[/skill], [skill]Lightning Javelin[/skill], [skill]Enervating Charge[/skill], [skill]Lightning Orb[/skill], [skill]Lightning Hammer[/skill], [skill]Blinding Flash[/skill], [skill]Air Attunement[/skill], [skill]Elemental Attunement[/skill]

I would choose Enfeebling Blood over Enervating Charge, because it's cheaper, at a nearby range of Weakness and the damage from Enervating is already low so you won't be losing much.
I would also swap Lightning Strike out for something else, such as a Res Sig, because you're not exactly using that skill as much as spamming Orb and Hammer.

Elemental Attunement is a waste of an elite skill slot, I cannot imagine you running out of energy on that bar in PvE, unless you're just spamming hammer on recharge and everything else inbetween =/ Basically if you rearrange things, take out ele attunement, put in a glyph of lesser and swap out another skill for a better Air elite, you could have a much more effective skill bar. Maybe something like Invoke Lightning or Mind Shock =]
Also just because you have a secondary profession doesn't mean you have to use it, infact generally the most effective bars are ones that only have the primary profession spells and maybe 1 or 2 skills from the secondary, IF they have good synergy, and well Elementalist skills and Necro skills have very little synergy. Full ele bars on the other hand are quite good.

^Wouldn't consider Mind Shock, but I'm quite partial to B-Surge, even in PvE myself.

Actually, elemental attunement is a very good idea on this bar because it lets you, as you mentioned yourself, spam your skills on recharge. Lightning hammer, Lightning orb and Blinding flash are all very powerful skills, even moreso when you can spam it to your hearts content.
I've run a very similar build myself, and I found all I needed for offense was lightning hammer and lightning orb, then blinding flash for blinding everything. So I'd say switch out lightning strike, lightning javelin or enervating charge with something doing a completely different purpose. You've got your damage, energy management and melee hate on the bar, what else do you need? For instance, for AB I'd bring [aura of restoration] (generally not a good choice for a selfheal, but when spamming 25e and 15e spells, it's pretty useful) and [Storm Djinn's Haste].

A res for sure, maybe some self preservation in terms of a speed-boost/armour boost (depending on what you're doing).

Selfish defense is bad, but if you don't want to bring Enfeebling Blood, take Ward Against Melee at 10+1 spec for some "I block your melee".

[enfeebling [email protected]] or [ward against [email protected]] > all
... in your case, I'd say

If this is for PvE only ,forget the res. I know the received wisdom is that a res should always be on your bar, but in PvE, if you are going to team wipe, you probably either have :-
a) A completely unsuitable H/H group or
b) A useless PuG
In PvE, I only have res on heroes.

Its quite easy to run out of energy in Pve...anyone who suggests that you will be fine eithr have no idea about GW or have never used an ele before. Yes ele's have alot of energy but there skills also cost alot to use. So before you know it you run out of energy, and theres nothing worse than having an ele who standing there waiting for there energy to charge up in middle of a fight.
So i say, find a groove that works for you and go with it. There's alot of positive feedback so far in this thread, also work checking out pvxwiki.com for some idea.

You could drop [[lightning javelin] for [[aegis] or [[extinguish]. That would allow a hard res. [[Splinter weapon] is always good for everyone. As mentioned, [[enfeebling blood] is godly. The dual attunement bar allows you to take expensive skills from other proffessions and use them effectively. So have fun.

[Shock Arrow] can be used for energy management. That can free up your elite and perhaps let you add [Blinding Surge].

Personally I would remove the first three, cycling between Hammer and Orb was all the damage I needed. I also agree with taking Enfeebling Blood over Enervating charge because of the aoe-ness of it.
I'd probably spec into some Wards or something as well and bring Aura of Restoration to act as a cover enchantment

I wouldn't reccokend using either of the two skills you listed. Windbourne speed probably isnt ever going to be used. There's no point to speed buffs in normal PvE. Magnetic Aura is selfish defense, bringing a support skills like Aegis, Wards, etc. are much better for the welfare of your team.
I would sugest trying out he newly uberly-buffed ether renewal. Have one or two long lasting enchantments like Air Attunement or Aura of Restoration which will give to virtually limitless energy. You could spam Heal Party, Aegis, B Flash and other high energy skills to your hearts content. Chuck in Lightning Orb and Lightning Hammer and you you'll have a good, easy to use support build.
