Incubi Frostmaw
Hello,
Me and a friend are currently trying to clear Frostmaw HM.
But we keep dieing at the incubi, so i was wondering.
Is there any solo build that could be able to kill the Incubi? Using an essence doesn't matter to us. We don't have problems at lvl 2 we simply avoid them.
But on lvl three the big group that spawns after the first area, the big amount of foes sort of beats us.
Currently i am thinking of this:
Standing in Ward of stability and the human using:
Deepfreeze + Maelstrom + Glyph of Sacrifice + Meteor Shower + Savannah heat + By Ural's Hammer + Technobabble

There used to be a bat killer build to kill incubis to protect 600s running the dungeon using mostly Ray of Judgement (http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team...Smite_Frostmaw). Granted it was difficult and is probably even more difficult now.
Basically your idea of ward of stability is good since KD is a big part of the challenge. You should also have good anti-hex & conditions for this dungeon anyway which should help against daze.
Also watch out for patrols, I believe in level 4 anyway. It's easy to wipe if you're fighting a group of wurms and incubis run into your monks :P
Good luck and if you need help with the dungeon you can whisper me in game. I might be busy but if not I've never refused a chance to get a silverwing bow :P

This.
Since incubi have a skill based enchant strip its hard to prot a tank against them using tradition methods. A mixture of spirit wall and minions is the best way to approach large mobs of them. Let these take the damage then rush the rest of your team in and spank them while their skills are recharging and they are partially exhausted.

Try and identify what it is that's actually killing you. Their monster skill is a pain in the ass if you have a load of enchantments up and Mind Shock is annoying when 8 or 9 of them start hammering your team.
What builds are you running? When I H/Hed the place (NM and HM) I ran Fevered Dreams on my necro and that really defanged a lot of the enemies there. I ran with my ER hero without problems either.
You have three Norn allies for that dungeon. Try and make it so they eat the worst of the initial wave of attacks for pretty much any mob. They're completely expendable as they spring back to life as soon as there are no enemies in earshot of their corpse. It might be worth investing in a Minion Bomber - that way a lot of the Soulrending Shrieks will hopefully be wasted on Death Nova on minions.
Using a human ele like you suggested may help prevent the knockdowns, but you won't really help too much vs the rest of the dungeon.

Try "I Am Unstoppable!" on a designated tank, gather aggro with him or her and let loose the damage. Spirit walls / Ebon Assassins / minions etc all serve to greatly reduce the damage done to your party, too.
I've managed to H/H the dungeon in HM without "I Am Unstoppable" and in fact without even Resilient Weapon, so you should be able to deal with them by smart pulls too. If you know where the popups are, then it's a simple matter of triggering them and then taking the aggro with summons - for example, you could pre-cast the spirits and Longbow pull the Incubi to where the spirits are.

Good idea Jeydra! But would my incubikiller work if u get off 1 round of soulrendingshriek without dieing? Would he be capable of killing atleast 4 incubi in the Lvl 3 mob?

You don't have to have "an Incubi killer", you just have one person gather aggro. After that he can pull to the team, and they can all attack the Incubi. If the Incubi aren't spiking one target together, they aren't dangerous.

Er... he might help but only because Meteor Shower causes repeated KD and Ward of Stability will stop Mind Shock knocking you down.
The trouble is the damage he'll do in HM is low and the rest of the time he's almost a waste of a party member. At best Maelstrom interrupts Wurm Bile a bit and the Ward stops some knockdowns (but it will expire and those KDs keep on coming).
Check what you're doing, if you're all charging into them then you're going to have a problem. Doing what Jeydra suggested means only one person will eat most of the damage (and he's easily protted and healed).
If you still struggle then consider some disruption on a hero. Mesmer heroes can pack Tease and other interrupts (and they have godlike reflexes). Try to get your Spirits, Minions and Norn allies to eat most of the damage.
Also remember that what is an apparently large group will probably consist of 2 to 3 smaller groups that can be pulled apart.
If you can handle the Wurms and Chromatic Drakes then you shouldn't be having a problem with Incubi. Soulrending Shriek shouldn't be killing you. It's an annoyance but not the most threatening thing in there.
