W/N Solo "Craw Stonereaper" Build
There is a similar build for W/N Axe warrior submitted by marfam. This is a W/N Sword warrior variation with some differences on skills and tactics. I Just thought a good sword build would be nice since not all warriors like to use Axes.
Enjoy this farm, it’s actually very easy once you master the timing cause getting to him is def fast and easy. Also it is funny cause he actually kills himself in the end with his self sacrifice skills LOL.
Profession: W/N --- Just switch to Necro Secondary in Sujis Corner
Name: Solo – Craw Stonereaper -- Farming
Type: PvE --- Solo Farming
Category: Tank/Life Stealing
Attributes:
Base Strength 11 (+3 Rune, +1 Strength Helm) = Total 15
Base Swordsmanship 8 (+1 Minor rune) = Total 9
Base Tactics 11 (+1 Minor rune) = Total 12
Weapons:
Victo’s Blade (Though any max sword will do)
Exalted Aegis (Again any nice protect shield works)
Skills:
Balanced Stance (For the run)
I Will Survive (For the run)
Sprint (For the run)
Dolyak (extra armor at end of fight)
Final Thrust (To kill him)
Sun And Moon (To kill him)
Healing Signet (To heal self)
Grenths Balance{elite} (To steal life & kill him)
Summary:
The goal is to obtain the staff that he drops. “The Stonereaper” see pic http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/The_Stonereaper
Craw Stonereaper is a necro curse boss. He will use the following skills against
You.
Parasitic Bond - Hex Spell. Sacrifice 20% max health. For 8-18 seconds, target foe receives only two-thirds Health from healing.
Suffering - For 6-25 seconds, target foe and all nearby foes suffer health degeneration of 2.
Defile Flesh – Hex Spell. Sacrifice 20% max health. For 8-18 seconds, target foe receives only two-thirds Health from healing.
Lingering Curse {elite} - Sacrifice 10% max Health. Target foe loses all enchantments. For 8-20 seconds, target foe grants only half Health from healing spells.
I soloed this guy probably 25-30 times before my first drop. Since then I get it
On average once in 5-7 trys. The staff is worth 30K and may be trending down
However I wouldn’t sell it for less then 25K because this is a perfect curses staff
And SS necro is a popular build.
Here is where you can find him - see pic
You leave from Altrumn Ruins from Arborstone exit. Go north a little Turn and run west.
As you approach the first group you need to
Hit “Balanced Stance” this keeps them from knocking you down. You could
Use dolyak, however it makes you walk slower. Sometimes you will get
Crippled, not to worry, hit “I Will Survive” Then just keep walking straight,
Craw Stonereaper will be to your right down a corridor, however you need
to keep Walking straight, you will come back. Once the crippled wears off hit
“Sprint” the bad guys will break agro on you so just keep running till they do.
Now that you are free of pursuers turn around. If they followed you all the way
To the lower stairs chances are they will stop at the top at the first set of stairs
To lay a spirit that will cripple you again, just wait till they lay it and they will
Run away. Sometimes they run then walk back towards you a little then run
So just wait till they are away enough that you don’t agro them when you go
Into the doorway to the corridor where Craw is. Also either kill the spirit or
Try to squeeze by it without triggering it; I am able to do this 90% of the time.
Now you are ready to kill him. I usually engage him immediately, however if
He is way far back from the doorway you have to try and pull him closer so that
The Elementalist boss in the far corner doesn’t accidentally hit your agro while
Fighting this boss because he will KILL you fast if he does. After you have him
In safe place to avoid agroing either the group behind you or the Elementalist
Boss then just start whacking him. You will notice serious degen on you, this is
A good thing. Just whack at him and watch your health go down.
Don’t use your slashes yet. DO NOT HEAL YOURSELF YET. Wait till your health is below 60,
sometimes I wait till 40, But you are playing with fire so be careful.
I’m very experienced at this so I Don’t hesitate to let it get that low.
Use your discretion. Once it gets as low as you dare let it hit “Grenths Balance”
You will be healed 100% and he will lose half his health. Now same thing,
whack at him and watch your health Go down, AGAIN DO NOT HEAL, when your health is below 60
hit “Grenths Balance” Again his health will drop about 50% of what he had.
Now is the tricky part. Hit “Dolyak Signet” and keep whacking on him.
Then start hitting “Healing Signet” over and over when you see his health is a sliver.
Hit “Sun And Moon Slash” and “Final Thrust” then go back to healing.
He will die by self sacrifice and the damage from your slashes.
Notes & Concerns:
In order to kill him without dying you have to be very careful with timing.
If you do it the way I have described you should only use Grenths Balance 2 times.
Also you will note you don’t have to interrupt him at all and you only use your
high damage slashes at the very end and usually once is enough.
Credit: Myself for being stubborn
Enough to farm this guy 25-30 times perfecting this build, cause DAMANIT I
WANTED THIS STAFF… LOL.

The reason I put balanced stance in there is because otherwise you have to hit dolyak in that first group and it slows your walking, now I realize that if your crippled this doesn't matter but about 60% of the time I can squeeze by and not get crippled so I hit sprint once I'm out of hammer reach. Just saves a little time on the run 60% of the time and saving time is always nice.

nice build, i modified it as such:
Frenzy
Silvering Slash
Galrath Slash
Final Thrust
Dolyak Signet
Grenth's Balance
Endure Pain
Sprint
Frenzy helps you get low hp faster. =) you don't need heal sig, that's what grenth's balance is for. Final Thrust is the real kicker here. IMO it works better than the axe variant.

LOL, Mr. DJ the problem with what your doing is out of 10 trys you may kill him 3-4 for times, out of 10 trys with my build I will kill him 10 times.
Remmeh,
The only issue I would warn you about on your build is that endure pain is dangerous. I used that when I was first working on this and quickly realized a problem. Lets say you use grenths and get him down to wear you can see almost no red on his health, and your health is pretty low so you think, "Hey I got him now" and you hit Endure Pain. Suddenly one of his 20% sacrifice life curses goes away and he gains back that much of his health. Now you will die because you won't be able to kill him before Endure Pain runs out.

I pretty much know this boss by heart now and I can kill him always with this build with 99% success rate. He's always sacrificing before endure pain runs out.

Kinda ressurecting this, but couldn't you time it so that you activate Endure when you're pretty low on health (i.e. you will have 1hp when it wears off) and right when it wears off Grenth's Balance him?

The staff goes for 10-15k, not 30k...
Also, Throw out IWS and BS. The more damage you take from the wardens the faster it is on Craw. Throw in Plague Touch to get rid of crippling.

Think Before You Talke Please
Look at the date of my origional post. Now look at the date of your post. HMMMM,,,, of course the staff is not selling for the 30K that I was selling it for back then. DUH...... They do go down in price over time. However you can still sell it for around 20K, it's just losers that don't have patience to sell it and just accept the first feeble offer they get that drive prices down.
Also if you bothered to read the build you would notice that I don't use BS or IWS while fighting CRAW.... those are stictly just to make the run easier.
And in answer to some of the earliers posts, I to can beat him with just GB however it is very risky, your success ratio does go down and I prefer to beat him 100% of the time I go out on the first try.

You dont have to be rude. I was pointing out that the staff was worth 15k for the people who read your guide and thought it was worth 30k. Not everybody is up to date with prices of green items. And if you bothered reading my post, I clearly said Also, Throw out IWS and BS. The more damage you take from the wardens the faster it is on Craw.. Where does it say anything about using them against craw? It doesnt.

Nice build. I did it perfect the first time I tried, and every time after. Have done it about 7 times now and have gotten the stonereaper once so far, but also a few purples, and a bezerkers gold scroll (triple xp for 30 seconds), and random junk. Thanks for the info.
