Yes, and I suspect that this problem with titles will persist so long as the in-game economy is what it is. As long as you can exchange "something else" that is a valuable commodity for titles, the efficient solution is specialization. It's most efficient to get really good at one thing and use the proceeds from providing that service to get the rest of what you want. Some players find value in beating the content themselves, want to be able to distinguish, and can't.

I don't know about that. You know when you see a legit, high-ranked Champ player. But like rank, you certainly can't use the title to distinguish skill. The advancement system is flawed; it rewards time played rather than measuring value added to your team. Bloodspam makes the problem worse, but the problem itself is more fundamental.

No. I HATE RMT, but I'll do the sensible thing in the context of a virtual economy. Not for something like GWAMM (why display it if you didn't do it?), but for something like grinding title points on a farm character.

I already demonstrated why it can make sense to do a run to buy a run to save time. H/H is a money-losing proposition, and friends/guildies can at times be worse. If you enjoy playing that way, great. But if you do, you shouldn't complain about how other players are rich.

Proof? Seems to me there are more runners than there are gold buyers. It's just that a small proportion of players buys a lot of gold. Sort of like the Facebook games; Sorority Life reported to the New York Times that only 3% of the player base actually ever spends real cash.
