I'd go for Necro/Elem. In the begining, playing as a fire elem is probably the best : AoE and good damage.
After a while, Minion Masters (MM) are very good in most area. Just so you knows about it, elem skills get weaker as the enemies get stronger than you, so you will probably want to drop it for more conventionnal builds later on.

I have to agree with those people in both your threads. Necro warrior ele and ranger are all user friendly and pretty forgiving. They also have a pretty wide range of uses.

On another topic posting the same threads multiple times is a recipe for a quick close/temp ban. you may want to avoid that in the future. Posting multiple times does not give you more opinions. the same people read the same threads. Therefore you have the same folks reading both threads.

Good luck with the new char!!!!

I would say either Necro or Ele.

If you get factions, get an assassin. Assassins can dish out heavy amounts of melee damage.

Ritualist is also good for spirit spamming.

A necromancer. No point using an elementalist when you only own Prophecies and are going to be disappointed by the damage decrease the more you progress. The Necromancer contains armour-ignoring hexes, and blood spells are a great starter.

Default A W/R Class

I was thinking about making a W/R class but idk if it will be better when i get to a decent level cause i only have proph but i was thinking hit with bow and when they get close have sword hotbarred to switch to it real quick is it a good idea? or does it fail miserably?

Is it a good idea?
No.
Will it work?
Yeah.

Which basically means it's a sub-par option but in GW you can win despite not running the single best option. You can actually win by running a very crappy option.
Just be aware that if you will play with people - you'll probably get kicked out of a party a lot. But for hench - it should work.

Just have fun for now and don't worry about running the best option.

if you mean actually attack with a bow (and not pull) and then attack with a sword, you'd need to meet requirements to do decent damage. so youd need 9 sword 9 bow for a req 9 bow/sword

100% pointless and poor idea.

go with 1 weapon (sword, axe, hammer or W/D with scythe)

You do not need charm animal if you bring comfort animal. As long as you have already charmed an animal.

No point at all in using a bow as a warrior, except to pull or build adrenaline from a long distance.
If you want crossover, melee weapon using rangers can actually be quite effective.

OP: You need to put 12 points into your main weapon, in this case sword. You won't be able to do much with the bow in terms of skill attacks as it uses energy based attacks and you have a low energy pool with slow regen.

If you are having fun, it's like upier said, have fun. If you want to learn how to play the class, you need to read the sticky and as Lux said, bows are mainly used by warriors for pulling and ranged ade gain.

W/R isn't too bad as you can bring along antidote signet to remove some of the conditions that you'll run into if your monks are getting overwhelmed.

It's not particularly useful or good, but you can combine the base armor penetration of the strength stat, a horn bow and a sundering bowstring for a little fun. I think it was back before factions and I was bored in RA and realized Flourish could recharge bow attacks. I think it was also before they nerfed the 1/2 attack skills and read the wind, but you could hit stuff real hard when about half it's armor is gone, even with dual shot... Also flourish+Dshot
