Order of PvE Domination goes:
Assassin > Necromancer (no. 1 & no. 2 are debateable ) > Mesmer > Warrior -> everything else
Seriously, MS>DB spam is the king of physicals and Necro spamming curses + Discord or SS is the king of casters.

SS is better than all three (It's in a more accessable skill line for a start), why would you want something casting some stupid power buffed skill on you when you can knock it down and maybe the entire mob too and maintain the knockdown? Oh, and they aren't maintainable except for Empathy.

ever heard of fast casting? it's next to useless compared to the benefits you get from any other primary profession.
any useful mesmer skills can be used better on a n/me or even an e/me.

I always get a good laugh when I see e/me or n/me cast backfire and then get interrupted at the last second.
Fast casting is underrated, because most people have no freaking idea how to manage their energy.

if yes, there is a simple solution:
stop casting in the frontline.

If you think that enemies in PvE use their interrupts at the last minute, think again. If you think that Fast Casting will make any difference between their stupid reflexes interrupting you or not, think again.

The *LAST MINUTE* interrupt is how their servers handle informing the interrupted CLIENT that it's been FUBAR'd. It has nothing to do with how soon that client's skill was interrupted by another client (bot)...
For a test of such lag/buggedness - just use a sundering and zealous bow. While sundering equipped - select the zealous bow, *THEN* (over 250ms later) hit barrage. Notice what the server does to you, when it swaps your weapon *BACK* to sundering and then barrages... This sh!t is all server-side.
I do this with the same hand/finger, and it *CONSTANTLY* swaps my weapon back to the sundering one before doing barrage. This with a 100ms ping and green LED (supposedly). It's really fug'n infuriating to say the least...

Well that's funny because each and every weapon swap I've executed has been successful as long as I'm not pressing Escape or clicking the ground at the wrong time. And trust me, considering I get happy with Cripshot weaponswapping happens a lot.

try hitting the cancel action key (default=esc) right before you weapon swap.

this thread is absolutely pointless.
the time it takes to complete the campaigns depends almost entirely on the player, not the profession. I don't really see why any profession would be inherently faster, especially since you'll have 8-person teams.
besides, if you're only interested in beating the campaigns...why are you playing? obviously you're not the kind of person that's beaten everything like 12 times...so sit back and enjoy the game, and choose a class that you like.
besides, things'll seem to go faster if you do them with a class you find interesting to play.
Quote:
paragon. having an imbagon means you get to take at least 6 full-offensive team members. that's fast.
