hi all. lurked for a long time, but haven't played much guild wars for a while. finally have some free time and i'm wondering what you all enjoying playing the most/why?

my first character was a R/W that i used as a tank. he sucked, and my groups hated me, but i enjoyed it. after that i played a curse necro for a long while, which i also enjoyed. i've played a dervish off and on since nightfall but i seem to get burned out with many of the other classes as primaries.

so, tell me what to play!

Really it depends on your play style.

I myself mainly play monk and ele,but really all professions in guildwars are balanced..there is no best/worst.
If you enjoyed R/W as a tank,you could make a warrior or since you said you've already played dervish,you could use that.
Really as i said before it depends on your play style though.
In GW it dosent take long to get level 20 and get afew elites then decide if you like a profession or not,soo id say start with what you think you will like and play till you find a prof that best fits you.

imo, monk.

only because its fun and challenging to keep your team alive. and when you can do your job well, satisfaction is guaranteed.
also not many people in GvG for example, like to take monk position, so if you learn/play well you'll be quite a useful player.

if you're not the protecting kind and wanna go offense...sin ftw!

Mesmer...tho I think N/Me does it much better.

Paragons are a great change of place, shame about some of the boring armor tho

I love playing frontliners. My Derv, Sin and my War (before she got deleted) are/were my favourite characters.
Also because it's hard to replicate them with heroes then other classes.

Warrior, Sin and Monk are the 3 classes I like most.

Monk and Sin can farm 99% of anything farmable together, the sin does awesome melee damage, the warrior is very nice at damage, pvp, and tanking and as said earlier, monking well means satisfaction is guaranteed. People recognize good monks, not so much for other professions, and very few people can monk efficiently.
