Default A/R Critical Interrupt

I just made an Assassin, and came up with a build idea. I wanted to know what you guys thought.

Attributes:

Critical Strikes 12 (+12% to critical)
Marksmanship 12 (+17% chance to critical)
Wilderness Survival ~8

Skills:
[skill]Critical Eye[/skill][skill]Way of the Assassin[/skill][skill]Critical Defenses[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Disrupting Accuracy[/skill][skill]Keen Arrow[/skill]

The last two skills are optional slots. At least one should be another bow attack. I was thinking [skill]Favorable Winds[/skill] (increases effectiveness of Disrupting Accuracy) and [skill]Screaming Shot[/skill] (for Bleeding). Or you could use [skill]Sharpen Daggers[/skill] (for Bleeding) and [skill]Splinter Shot[/skill] (so you still do damage even if blocked). Also the elite is pretty flexible. As it is now, this build provides a total of +71% chance to critical with a bow. Without Way of Assassin that becomes 42% (which is still a good amount) and opens up a slot for skills like [skill]Incendiary Arrows[/skill] (and something else could then be substituted for Disrupting Accuracy) or [skill]Burning Arrow[/skill] or [skill]Poison Arrow[/skill] or even [skill]Prepared Shot[/skill] for more e-management. If your Sunspear rank is high enough, it might be worthwhile to switch Critical Defenses with Critical Agility.

So what do you guys think?

Although sins with bows are apparently bad (never tried it myself), that build looks like it would be hella fun to play in PvE. I would keep WotA as your elite and just make this a solid interupt build with some damage output on the side. Critical Agility would be good for pumping out more arrows, but if you're getting rid of Critical Defenses, throw in an enchantment that's easy to maintain at all times to get the critical bonus. Just keep this away from PvP as you'd probably get laughed at.

meh. low damage and interruption compared to a ranger. much lower damage compared to an assassin. thumbs down.

This build isnt intended for PvP. Just for fun in PvE. But out of curiousity, why are Sins with bows bad? And what would be a sample ranger build with more damage and interruption?

Somebody explain to me why a ~92% critical hit factor is bad?

the crits arent bad its that a ranger can interrups every important skill with a interrupt skill, or just use chocking gas, and still deal more damage. and that a sin can deal an increadible amount more damage. critical hits arent everything.

With the addition of GWEN, this might actually become viable.

2 thumbs pointed to hell (which is down ) why compare something that can deal a crap load of dps spikes with something that is annoying and just interrupts?

Just a bad combo in general a/r was never meant to be. A/W A/E A/Mo A/Me stick to these better dps and just all around better combinations.

*Glances at all the anti-A/R comments*

.... Nothing wrong with Critical Barragers though, as far as I know....

*Shrugs*

It isn't ideal... but if you want to play your assassin as an interrupt-ranger then I suppose it is semi-fair. Dual-shots and that Kurzick/Luxon Triple-Shot might help....

The chances for a critical don't stack linearly.

A bow build for a sin is nice to have doing missions like Unwaking Waters, where you can still be useful against Kuunavang instead of sitting around with a thumb up your ass. Get rid of Disrupting Accuracy and put in distracting/savage shot, a guaranteed interruption.

on the rare occassion I run a bow assassin I pretty much bring Bronze Head arrow....cus really if your a bow assassin you need all the damage you can give out and taking out Disrupting and Way of the ASsassin gives you Bronze head (daze) and 1 more attack skill (needling shot)

But I dont reccommend Bow sins, They can work (I dont see why people think they dont) They're just don't excel at anything.
