How is farming nowadays?
How is farming nowadays since the loot scaling was introduced? I havent played in a long time and only came on for the preview... I will buy EotN so feel I will probably need to start farming different things again...
I know there was some big ultimate fix to farming or somewhat. How is farming because of this? Am I forced to go for the big stuff from HM? Whats the deal?

Loot is now scalled to the amount of people in your party, so soloing is slightly harder for merch items, but for greens its all the same, no difference.
Oh and gold seems to drop less.

Farming for loot to sell to merchant became harder, but still farmable. It only takes longer. There still are other things to farm; like DoA ( Farming gemstones ) or even killing bosses for there 'Elite tomes'.
=> You still can make cash easy

Golds were not affected by the loot scale change - only common items (white/blue/etc.). Basically, the stuff you sold to the merch for money.

The best way to make cash these days is to farm with supply/demand principles in mind, especially since there's a new expansion which spikes demand for new stuff. New greens with desireable stats are selling much higher than they will a month from now. Even glacial stones were in huge demand during the preview.
You'll definately want to farm in HM once you unlock it by beating the game with one of your characters. Rare materials, grape, gold and green drops are exempt from loot scaling and they have a higher chance of dropping in HM. You'll have a much quicker time getting golds that other players want in HM, and you'll make some change off the merchable golds/grapes.

oh man... you really want the list?!
my main spots are........
Luxon Sin farm
Kappa (outside of Gayla Hatchery)
UW (W/Rit)
Titans (North Kryta)
Termites (outside of Astralium)
Kappas & Nagas (Panjiang Peninsula)
These I feel are the most profitable spots I farm now... I have other spots I farm for specific drops.

Merchant food brings in pennies, you want to go for high end items, golds, and materials.

Very true!
My main spots are mostly merch food... but each spot can bring in about 5k each run in merch food. Also those spots do drop sorta high end stuff... platinum weapons, jade weapons, sup runes, uw drops etc...
