Lightbulb 55 weapon?

your 55 weapon is greatly a matter of your tastes. as far as mods go, +5 Energy and +20% enchantments duration are the best mods. as far as skin / weapon type goes, that's totally up to you. i use a Spirit of the forgotten because i like spears and it's easier to repull scattered foes. Totem axe and razajan's fervor are great choices, but any weapon with the aforementioned mods will work perfectly, so skin is up to you completely.

20% enchants is a must. +5 energy is not bad, but I much prefer a 10% HSR mod as you won't really be having energy problems and you can get a lot of quick recharges on SoJ or whatever damage skill you're using.

10% HSR is tough to come by in Tyria or Cantha, but you can find "Let the Memory Live Again" inscriptions fairly easily in Elona.

*Edit*
Just re-read your first post and saw you only have the first two campaigns, so you won't be able to farm for the mods I mentioned -but you can still purchase inscribable weapons and inscriptions from other players.

I agree with Vexed, wholeheartedly. Although if I may add that it is not necessary, using most modern builds, to have 55 hp. Try using a Kepheret's Refuge, it has 9 more energy, it's a 20/20, with the 20% enchant.

55monk doesn't have much energy problem.
faster recharge of skills would be much helpful.

Normally its just a singlehanded weapon (Sword, Axe, Spear) with a Focus Item. If you've got an Axe Grip of Enchanting, you can have Vaughn in Amnoon Oasis make a Battle Axe for 2K+Materials, and then attach the mod to that.

Actually if you're going to go the crafter route, there's no reason you couldn't slap the enchanting mod on an axe from pre-searing ascalon - not like you'll be swinging the thing in melee ;p

Save yourself the cash and the materials, heh

Yeah, I can agree with you on that Vexed. Heck, if I've got the Inscription "I have the power!" and a Sword Pommel of Enchanting, I'd just buy a Machete from the Weaponsmith in Kamadan and add the modifications to that.

Yeah you can pretty much use whatever you want. I've seen people use axes, swords, and spears. You can almost use whatever you'd like, as long as it has +20% enchants the other mod is up to you. I use a req 13 Fellblade with +5 20%, simply because it looks cool. I've had a Rajazans, a Totem, and I was thinking about getting the green spear with those stats. It really comes down to what you prefer to look at, since you're the only one that'll more than likely see the weapon. If you can handle staring at a boring Totem axe, get it and save your money. If you want some eye candy, go nuts. I was thinking about getting an Ele sword with those reqs, it all comes down to what you want.

When I personally go 55 monk (prefer 105) for underworld, I use the totem axe and swap it for dansheks purifier in dying nightmare areas, where interupts are common so I can heal faster (+20% casting +20% recharge reduction).

however I rarely do UW and need more practise with it so there is probably better 1 handed weapons).
