Savannah Heat's PvE applications?
I know SH is pretty popular in PvP but are there any PvE builds built around it?
If so, please list them.

unless, of course, there's only one or two eles in the party. Then you're probably better off with savannah heat.

It's used along with meteor shower in solo farming builds to kill mobs before they can flee, I've seen variants for pongmei valley and UW with it. Typically along the lines of meteor shower->savannah->bed of coals->PBAoE. Also run one in FoW 3 man successfully, though the third player is barely needed anyway. SF is pretty weak in many situations where Savannah heat can be strong - with only 1 ele in the party and against enemies with reduced condition duration (Prophecies+shing jea bosses, wurms, etc).

I use something like this:
[wiki]Fireball[/wiki]
[wiki]Breath of Fire[/wiki]
[wiki]Savannah Heat[/wiki]
[wiki]Meteor[/wiki]
[wiki]liquid flame[/wiki]
[wiki]Glyph of elemental power[/wiki]
[wiki]Fire Attunement[/wiki]
[wiki]Resurrection Signet[/wiki]
Works wonders, for me anyway.

I've tried using Savannah Heat for nuking in FoW but the damage is just terrible. Even one ele with SF will outdamage it anyday.
Mobs with condition resistance are probably the only thing, though. Them blasted Infernal Wurms :P

People bashing PvE use for Savannah?
Alright, they may think what they will, I however firmly believe Savannah is superior to SF in PvE.
My GF and I ran 6 SF eles and 2 monks (all heroes except us two) through the NF campaign after we capped SF. It was superior to most pug teams and rolled through the game with ease. It was raw, it was basic, the bars were all the same, it worked.
Ease-Wise: 9/10
Recently however I changed the build up to... 5 Savannah Heat Eles and 1 Water Ele w/ Snares... Performs absolutely remarkably and is by far superior to 6 SF eles.
Ease-Wise: 10/10
Basically I did random torment quests with the 5 SH eles and 1 Snarer (snarer made no difference what-so-ever, the build would have been more effective with 6 SH eles TBH), and it worked really well. So I was like "Heck I'm going to try this in FoW"
So we took our 6 heroes to FoW and moved much faster than any other group I've been in -and- without encountering a single death while procceeding to do all the missions in the order they appear...
A guildie on vent was like "meh, FoW is child's play compared to UW"
I didn't argue with him on that point so once we were done with FoW we decided to try UW without changing anything just to randomly see how we could do...
So we went into the Underworld and again the team rolled right through without incurring a death... I've never been in a 'real' group for the Underworld so I wouldn't know how difficult it would be with a real group, but not even the aatxe's (sp?) proved to be a problem because in this rare instance the water ele proved valuable in that he snared and blurred the aatxe's and within seconds they would roll over and die, most of the time never even getting a chance to attempt to attack someone, and when they 'did' successfully hit they did between 40-60% daamge to a target which was easily "heal-able"
We only did about 4 quests in the UW before I had to go to sleep... by that time it was about 4AM... So I don't know if it gets extremely more difficult later on... but up to that point nothing presented any problems.
I do not know how FoW and UW compare to other areas, but I know I flawlessed all that I explored with 6 heroes... I never tried it with SF, but from my experience SH is superior.... when you have 5 SH's appearing out the wazoo accompanied by more aoe then it's impossible to avoid it....
Basic Bar for SH eles was: F-Attune, SH, F-Storm, T-Heat, Searing Heat, B-O-Fire, Meteor Shower, Res sig.
Standard PvP monk builds: LoD Infuse and ZB prot.

=\
After re-reading my last post I would like to clarify a couple things to stay more on topic...
-I did not mean to 'compare' SF and SH (got on a large tangent)
-I -do- like Searing Flames seeing as how it's what I used to go through NightFall
-To get straight to the point: Yes, Savannah Heat is a viable option for a Fire Elementalist. Even with a basic "nuking" Build, a Fire Elementalist with Savannah Heat is a strong option for PvE-Play.
Hope this new post is more to the point a less bias ^_^

Savannah's Heat causes too much AoE scatter unless you use Meteor Shower, but then you can only use it every 60 seconds. Even if you snare them in Deep Freeze the mobs will most likely run out by the time the last and most damaging wave hits.
I've tried both in FoW as the single nuker in a 4-man group and Searing Flames is by far superior.

they only scatter at 3 seconds, all u need to do is keep them in nearby range for 2 seconds. deep freeze does that. will try to get a video in later.

Just got out of a FoW group using Deep Freeze, GoLE, Savannah Heat, Fireball, Immolation, Fire Attunement (didn't need it actually so long as I remembered to use Glyph), Searing Heat and Res. Anything that wasn't dead was picked off by the spiking ele, SS necro or the ranger.
The sad MS echo ele kept throwing rocks at dead things though and eventually ragequit, it was funny.

lol!
The only time MS should be used is just after Glyph of Sacrifice... I /point /laugh at triple echo nukers... so outdated.
Alas, my PvE ele has yet to get SH... Sounds fun Good stuff.

I find the only real use SH has is farming LB in D.o. Secrets, since it's so cheap.
Everywhere else SF is just better.
5 man SH team? Try a 5 man SF team and watch the world burn down. Oh, and things cant "just sidestep" SF.
Sorry guys, one's ten times more popular then the other for a reason.

I like SH... it requires some strategy, even if it's just a snare. I find that to be more entertaining (along with the pretty lights!) than just spamming SF over and over. Since this is a game, my entertainment is key.
MS nuking is just... lol. It's what you got if all you have is prophecies though.

Actually found one other good use for Savannah Heat: Shiro. I helped an alliance group with Shiro at Imperial Sanctum. With the warriors pinning him. With Savannah Heat and Celestial storm, bang! 1:34.

wow...I thought people got over that nerf a loooooooooooong time ago. Kinda sad to see people still crying about it. It's way to easy to snare enemies quite frankly, especially with the new water magic skills from NF and the Grasping Earth buff.
Also, other things do work. Some people might completely flip their lids and cry heresy, but I don't believe Elementalists have to always be pure damage dealers in PvE. To be quite honest, I think I find myself running my ele as a support character (party heals, heavy hex removal, snares, etc.) more than anything else.
