How to beat Black Beast of Arrgh?
Hello,
I've been faming The Foundry of Failed Creations for a while now with the 3-Man foundry Team build. It hasn't been until recently that I was finally able to learn to easily Tank my way to the last room and clear it completely, including the "Foundry Breakout" quest.
My question is, does anyone know if it's possible during this titan farm to actually kill the final boss (Black Beast of Arrgh) using the 3-man Foundry build?
I noticed that this bosses uses 2 monster skills (as stated in guildwiki): Fingers of Chaos and The Arrrrggghhh! . Is there any way around this?
I have been trying numerous times with alliance members and PUG groups with a full team to finish foundry with no luck. However, I can almost always get to last room, clear it, save the 3 prisoners from the "Foundry Breakout" quest, but always die at this boss.
My original thought was to bring Koss as an obsidian tank and leave him at the beginning of the map until everything is clear, and then use him as a tank on the boss with smite enchantments oh him maybe?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He uses fingers of chaos (removes enchants) and resets some attributes to 0.. Apparently you can kill him with luck! Also i heard people taking a 4th ranger along to trap him, although i havent tried this. I have got him down to about 20% health though before, its just luck if he spams fingers of chaos or not i think!

I was wondering with 3 man how do you save the npc when the dementias spawn?I assume SOJ on npc followed by extingish for crippled?

Taking the black beast down (and the dream rider group that spawns in quest at another place) requires trappers, at least thats how we did it.
We also save the NPC's by bonding them up (vital blessing + spellbreaker). Also trap around the place where the enemies spawn. Than run off with him, and let the tank try to get aggro of the spawn (and let him walk a bit further so he's easy to rez, but he's supposed to die while NPC is out of range)

With the npcs, you can just take aggro away from it by getting the ranger to come in with u when you first talk to the npc.. then the ranger just runs away to safety when the monsters spawn.. It doesnt work 100% but most of the time it does. i normally throw a prot spirit on the npc just in case

nope, my guildies and i can do it 3 man , just need a good tank who knows this well and black beast aint the last boss.......the fury is.
and to run the npcs you get ur spirit spammer to put spirit where they spawn but put it the oppisite direction where ur running the npc so they get pulled away.
mo/me : ancestorsv/spirit shacks/spell breaka/essence /blessedaura/prot spirit/soa/spirit bond
mo/e : storm djinn /zealous benediction/ holywrath/ succor/retribution /vital blessing/ glyph of essence or sacrifice/ rebirth
r/mo : essence /balthz spirit /famine/qz/fertile/eoe/rebirth/serpent quick
what we use and can clear in usually 90-120 mins

It's quite complicated but it's do-able.
Fingers of chaos removes enchantments for 5s and has a 15s recharge. When you aggro the mob with the beast watch for Fingers of Chaos as it approaches you and keep moving until you think it's worn off. If the beast is far enough away you can probable stand still. Use Spirit Shackles as soon as he reaches your aggro bubble (before Touch of Arghh!) and use Sympathetic or Ancestor's Visage. From then on, spam your monk enchantments on yourself and hope that the Beast dies.
It is hard and will probably take a couple of attempts. He's harder than the Fury & Co.
Edit:
As for the snake NPCs, we lure them back to the room adjacent to the quest giver (Resuce the 3 snakes - forgot the real name). One person runs around to the 2nd last small room and another person who stayed by that quest-giver moves around so that the snakes follow but instead they run in to the wall and remain there.
From then on, there's no more hassle from those snakes.

Are all of you running 600+hp?I prefer 380 hp without spirit bond and take LB gaze instead.

Also how do you guys kill the fury he uses fingers of chaos!I usually just drop dead all of asudden with all my enchants up!Any tips guys?

trick is..... there are huge columns where the fury gets obstructed when trying to wand you. [ i suggest you do it with a group with ts/vent]
there should be huge columns near the fury group , u pull them to the huge columns which are pretty close to them. while fury wands you + other creeps, get one person to call out when the fury activates finger of chaos, quickly move behind the column when this happens, rinse and repeat.
btw u need to shackles the ki's always
