Default kill riposte?

hello.
as a dervish, how can i kill a wariror if he use riposte build?
sand shards won't help so much, i won't get heal so much.
but i think i need a way to make my attacks unblockable?
and attack with enchantments won't be so strong and deal a lot of dmg.

thx

No matter what you do you'll never block ripostes. Best way to Kill a warrior is Degen imo, However you'll need to time your attack skills. Killing riposte isn't a solution.

Go D/R, D-shot heal sig, use whatever bow attacks you fancy. D/Me with [skill=text]Complicate[/skill] and [skill=text]Empathy[/skill] could work too.

let your ele kill him. you dont bother with anti-melee characters when you are playing a melee character.

[skill]sympathetic visage[/skill]
[skill]expose defenses[/skill]
[skill]mirrored stance[/skill] - I'm not sure if this would work

Here are some examples of giving that warrior a hard time.

huh, yeah... the thing is, both riposte and deadly riposte are skills, not stances

in a melee vs melee duel, you'll hardly defeat a riposte warrior, go /Me with empathy + clumsiness /N reckless haste + price of failure + insidious parasite, you can even go /E Gole + blinding flash, gale, rodgorts mark and a fire wand

Good point. I was also thinking of [skill]auspicious parry[/skill], which might also be used.

[skill]illusionary weaponry[/skill] - should bypass any riposite right?
[skill]ignorance[/skill] - to remove healing signet
[skill]sympathetic visage[/skill] - to remove lion's comfort and any adrenaline based skill

Auspicious Parry doesn't do anything against Riposte. It's not an attack, it's just a skill that causes damage.

IW should pass through it with no problem.

Using [skill]Illusionary Weaponry[/skill] will still cause you to take damage from the riposte.
A simple [skill]Sympathetic Visage[/skill] or [skill]Ancestor's Visage[/skill] will do nicely for shutting the warrior down.

there's still the energy based riposte, but yeah, packing a good dose of mesmer skills would do the job

Why on earth are you bothering to attack a riposte warrior as a melee character again? Especially as I'm assuming that you're talking about PvP.

Deadly is the only riposte skill with damage worth worrying about. You have a two second window between the time Deadly Riposte fails and when it can be cast again. during this time you can nail them without consequence. If you go with a Melandru build then you're in it for the spammable deep wound. That Deep wound will hurt him more than his riposte will hurt you. While yes attacking a riposte warrior with a melee build is not a great decision a dervish should be able to outheal and outlast a riposte warrior any day.
