The most damaging a/x spike build?
I was curious as to what people could come up with for the all time highest damage a/x spike build.
I have seen the whole shadow prism ones in pvp who can somewhat nearly instant kill (not really since you have to throw in a few normal attacks). Which makes me wonder, can their be an improvement/ even better build to spike down enemies?
This could be for pve too I suppose since assassins can basically solo spike an important monk or rit enemy.
But just curious as to what the best spike could be?
Something I would be assuming is black lotus, hoto, falling spider/falling lotus, blades of steel.
I know it's basically the shadow prism pvp build but I was wondering, could you possibly add a lead attack to ensure an instant kill in pvp if their monk is being pressured?

hmm... you need to set some ground rules or whatever, because there are lots of uber damaging spikes but they take up the whole skill bar and take too long to execute. hmm... anyways.
how about this, its really fun and i cant think of many spikes that will do this much raw damage in 4 skills. now its not as fast as boa but it does more damage so...
Nightmare Weapon, Shadow Prison, Black Lotus Strike, Vampiric Assault, Ancestors Rage, Impale, Optional <I use Assasin's Remedy (Counters Blind)>
About, 463 damage... if you get rid of black lotus strike and optional slot and add in iron palm instead, and then maybe falling lotus strike, you can break 540, but it's slower

Without a set of ground rules, it's rather difficult to set a build. Is this a purely independent build? Can I have friends helping me out? Etc.
Set some ground rules. Then we can talk. Otherwise I'll just pick the build where 7 other people put disgusting amounts of buffs on me and I go to town.

Well I would prefer the ground rules to be only by yourself. The reason is to spike down an enemy as quickly as you can.
I am mainly trying to figure out a pvp build so that's what I am focused on. I just want to try and find a new spike build.
So I guess the "ground rules" would be that you want to spike down an enemy in pvp as quickly as possible and trying to keep them "disabled" if possible so they can't heal themselves and survive.
Disabled isn't really required but it'd be nice to add in.

I think you need to qualify what kind of opponent you're going against. A build against somebody who blocks isn't going to necessarily be the same as a build against someone who doesn't.
But what's wrong with pre-existing builds? The SP sin is extremely strong.
I mean... I guess you could go:
Expose
Unsuspecting
Temple
BLS
TF
BSS
BoS
An IAS for slot #8, and you're good to go. Daze, Blind, Poison, Bleed, Deep Wound. If, they manage to survive, they sure aren't going to be doing much. Alternatively, you could replace Unsuspecting with Black Mantis Thrust. Cripple, Daze, Blind, Bleed, Deep Wound, Poison (in that order, I think) and a ton of damage. I don't know if it's effective, efficient, or even makes any sense to use something like this.
But it'll do a hell of a lot of damage, give your opponent a ton of conditions, and generally mess up their day.

Well, theirs nothing wrong with already existing builds. But all builds can be improved from time to time.
So that's what I was trying to look for, any possible improvements to the build that could maybe add some more damage to it. Since against a monk the damage usually isn't fast enough and they get off a life saving rof or something.

Mark of Instability
Asuran Scan
Black Spider Strike
Shattering Assault
Falling Lotus Strike
Blades of Steel
Black Lotus Strike
Twisting Fangs
that would be quite unfortunate to get hit with.

Don't listen to him,
He takes credit for common builds used in ra and calls them his own and tries to work his name into them. All he is, is pretty much a guru scrub, not the first and won't be the last you will ever meet.

Oh, and Icy DS...maybe everyone runs them in RA because I made them famous.?
Yanssassin was pretty original... and Yangansin was posted only 3 hours after the skill update that made it possible. I didn't copy anyone. People copy me, because they are aware of how great the builds are.

Yes Yanny... Your build is fantastic... except for the lack of IAS of course (which in the case of people with less than optimal computers and connections makes getting Falling Spider to trigger a bit awkward)...
Generally speaking though, I'm not sure the OP had Moebius-spamming in mind when they posted this request for a new spike...

Granted, it's not a real spike, but it packs quite a punch.

other people can make the exact same build, without copying, if they merely know how to read skill descriptions and chain their effects.
it doesnt take rocket science.

I think the most damaging chain is
[skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Blades of Steel[/skill]
hence the popularity of SP Sins. IMO SP isn't the true 'power' part of such a build, it's the two Black offhands. The duals are merely the strongest available. In any case it can easily break 500 (w/ Deep Wound incl.) and offers heavy degen to boot, if anyone can think of something more damaging I'd like to know as well
Also important: there's still some slots left for utility (1 of 'em must be a Hex of course). Coloneh - were you serious about that chain!?

I run this with 16 deadly arts. 16 just to defy yan lol
[skill]Shadow prison[/skill] [skill]Iron palm[/skill] [skill]Falling spider[/skill] [skill]Horns of the ox[/skill] [skill]Signet of toxic shock[/skill] [skill]Impale[/skill] [skill]Disrupting dagger[/skill] [skill]Resurrection signet[/skill]
I tried with taking out signet of toxic shock and disrupting dagger, for falling lotus strike and vampiric assualt which works but takes too long for my liking.
not the most damaging but it serves as a shutdown build that will kill you 2.
