My recommendation is to go to Resplendent Makuun and collect 10 Skree Wings. Then go to Nuwisha just outside Bokka Amphitheatre and trade 5 of the Skree Wings for a Sturdy Recurve Bow (+5e) then modify it with string and grip of your choice. I have a selection of these with Vamp, Zealous, of Enchanting, etc etc. Superb interrupters bow.

And the other 5 Skree Wings?.....why, swap for Nesting Material of course!

Ummm ... Shanaya speak wisdom! +5e much more important than some damage bonus. Recurve Bow is my choice for best all around, if you have to choose just one. But a Longbow also for pulling, doesn't have to be anything special.

I mount a Recurve, a Longbow, and a Zealous Flatbow for recharge when energy is low.

No, Shanaya is wrong. +5 energy is not needed 90% of the time. You may want one as a weapon swap if you really need 5 energy when bottomed out.

A bigger energy pool is useful only for a few things:
Big costs (you must have enough energy to pay them)
Attack Chain (enough energy to cover the chain/spike)
Exhaustion

Anything else and you should be planning to manage your energy, using a skill bar that allows you to be effective without bottoming your energy out. +5 energy from a bow will allow one or two additional skills before you hit 0 energy; is it worth sacrificing 15% bonus damage (base) on every shot to get one more attack skill off? Nope.
