Default Advice for Legendary Survivor.

I always wanted one, failed quite a few times due to stupid errors with the 6 jade warrior hm farming build. Now I intend to do it over the right way.

I need advice on how I should go around and level heroes and stuff to get to kaineng and start the hard mode jade warrior farming.

Any tips in general would also be good.

Also skill builds for surviving until then would be helpful.

Well I put it in here because i'm making a paragon legendary survivor, so I figured builds and advice for paragons specifically would be best in here.

Also, do you think it's actually semi able/ easy to get to house zu helter and do fff? I thought about it before but have a feeling i'd die somewhere along the way there.

I am at lvl 13, waiting until I reach 20 to go do jade brotherhood farming on hard mode.

But I need some advice for the dual bonder stuff.

1, I am going to be a chicken and use full armor+ lifebond/barrier so I don't even need to be p/mo for spirit bond since i'll be taking like 10 damage.

I now have a secondary free to increase the speed of runs. But what should I use? I can use vengeful was kanhei, spiteful spirit, or maybe even bring a famine hero and go /me for sympathetic visages. I just was wondering what would kill them the fastest.

I played my baby para normally through the game when I was going for legendary survivor. I finished Nightfall, got up to Imperial Sanctum in Factions (I was too much of a chicken to get up close and personal with Shiro ^^ ) and took her halfway through EOTN before meeting an unfortunate end at 1m xp due to lag.

She was a tough little cookie, the build that I generally played with was -

[skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]Vicious Attack[/skill][skill]Cruel Spear[/skill][skill]Aggressive Refrain[/skill][skill]Anthem Of Flame[/skill][skill]"Go for the Eyes!"[/skill][skill]"There's Nothing to Fear!"[/skill] or [skill]Signet of Return[/skill]
depending on the area. She just wasn't targeted by the enemies because of her life and armor class, I was running a major rune, sup vigor, vitae's, and centurion insignia. They're certainly not glass that needs to be wrapped up anyway! A lot of fun, and I'm tempted to start again... I played with hero/hench with most of it, using Olias as MM, General Morghan as another command para, with things like [skill]"Stand Your Ground!"[/skill] as well as spear attacks. (and Talkhora as monk, just because having a prot spirit on demand was too big an opportunity to pass up!)

Anyway, I hope this helps a little.

Why vicious and cruel when they do the same thing? No ToF! when using AoF? Just noticing stuff. If it works for you, fine with me, but defense is key in the hunt to be a survivor.

i got mine by getting to hzh and fffing as door. If you can get to hzh without dieing then you good, just join an hardcore fff guild and you will get legendary in about 2 days. I got my r3 in under 35 hours of game play on the char. Only missions you should really get help for is the first luxon one because of the ele boss and vizuna, imo. Make sure you get max armour as soon as possible. Also it helps a ---- load if u have 2 healers in your group, dunk as lod and tahlk as a bonder, ALWAYS BOND, bond yourself up with about 5-6 bonds so that u can live even if stuff happen that isn't according to plan. make sure tahlk is on avoid combat too.

hope this helps

I went for r3 survivor as well. I'm not sure exactly how much time it took me, game-wise, but two weeks of real life were all it took and I don't play all THAT intensely.

The secret?

Cap skills like mad. And if you are in imminent danger of dying, travel to your guild hall really, really, quickly. The closest I ever got to dying while going for the title was the first time I tried vanquishing Jahai Bluffs, and my hero blinder got pwned first, meaning the Acolyte of Balthazar got free reign. I warped away from that pretty dang quickly, and didn't try vanquishing that again until I got the title.

Paras are nigh-indestructible if you use well-thought out hero teams. I'm not claiming to be uber leet or such nonsense, but the class seriously doesn't die easily at all. As long as you call your targets and let the heros take aggro, you should be fine.

I know, but i'm going to try it with the hm farming 6 jade knights. I was curious how I can speed it up since I am going to use lifebond+barrier to take 10-20 damage total and then dunno whether to use ss, famine or vwk to kill faster.

I don't trust myself going through factions so this hm farm with dual bonders seems like my best bet to get it quickly. Most say it's done in less than 20 hours.

I am just curious as to what kills faster, SS, VWK or famine. Or maybe another i'm not thinking about that works with paragon primary.

*Doh!* 7 skill bar ftl... add They're on Fire for pure sexyness. And I tend to change between Cruel and Soldier's Fury, depending on my mood, but it was just a basic idea of my skill bar anyway.

Anyway, to OP, I guess if you wanted to do it that way VwK might be safer because of the lifesteal? *shrug* I'm sure that they're all pretty much the same, although I'd probably go with VwK over SS because of the para's limited energy pool if you're not using shouts?

Well with the dual bonders and since I don't need spirit bond(don't think I do since life barrier+ life bond should take care of all the damage). I can bring balthazars spirit to fuel my energy. I guess ss would go faster since I can have it up on 2 enemies at once.

I am just curious if the bonder will take any damage from a full al paragon with lifebarrier+ bond on.

Well I noticed that i'll still die if I try to go without spirit bond (paragon doesn't have enough al) I only tried it with lvl 12 lifebond/barrier instead of 16.

I guess I need to figure out another way to do this farm lag proof but quick.

Stand Your Ground? TntF even post nerf? Centurion Armor? heck you can even add Stoneflesh Aura if you're that paranoid... but than how exactly would the farm work? you take 0 dmg you deal 0 dmg...
maybe you should try the ToF Tank build with Triple Chop and Whirling Axe and ToF as you're defensive skill, you should still take some dmg but not too much to get you at risk. mending refain and TntF as emergency button do wonders.
it's not that hard to take care of yourself as a paragorn, just pick your survival tools and fit them to your farm type, in this case smite...

I think since the lifebond+ barrier thing was a no go, i'm going to use just barrier then use shield of judgement and spirit bond on my paragon to keep me hopefully healed nonstop with extra punch as full al doesn't return as much damage.

Farming jade brotherhhod is very fast, but very unreliable.

If you have any kind of problem with your connection, PC or even a stupid power failure, your character remains in the battle (because of reconnections) and can't do anything. When you reconnect, you're dead.

I did LS on my ranger through jade brotherhood farming before reconnections, in that period if you had a failure your character disappeared and was automatically teleported to the outpost.

Recently I've done LS with my paragon through FFF Lutgardis runs. I managed to get to Lutgardis mostly with H/H and the help of my friends for some missions (like boreas seabed) then 20-25 hours of safe doorman and GG.

Yeah, I would do the doorman thing. It's just, I seriously doubt my ability to make it all the way to the place. I usually have quite some trouble in cantha. I also won't do the jade brotherhood farm when i'm laggy or sometimes if my comp crashes i'll wait another day and see what happens before going out their.

I know it won't be fool proof, but i'm just hoping that once I can finish the title i'll be fine. Plus once I get to 20 it'll only be like maybe 18 hours or so to farm it up (excluding if I mess up).

personally I'd drop the jade brotherhood farming as a paragorn and just play through the game.
in elona you will be pretty safe until you get to moddok crevice, bayel and the hunger could be a pain but if you're in a good team dont worry about it either and move on. stop whenever you start feeling uncomfortable, its not worth losing the title. than move on to tyria and start doing all the quests from lion's arch and back, places get easier not harder and u get a lot of quests to catch up on... than you can do all the missions from ascalon to lion's arch for some xp and protector title. than you can continue into maguuma jungle without too much hussle and go all the way to the desert. do the desert missions and ascend, if you know how to do it right it's 100% success and 50k free xp!
than move on to cantha, it's a bit riskier there in my opinion so go as for as you feel comfortable.
remember that each time you cap an elite you get 5k xp at lvl 20, so you should get yourself a lot of elites. will be good for skill hunter titles too...
by than you should be legendary survivor if you managed not to die, if you're still not legendary survivor go ahead and do dragon's lair in prophecies and get to droks. from than move around in the southern shiverpeaks, doing the missions there too until you get legendary survivor. not advised to move beyond that into the perdition rock and the ring of fire, risky area. also stay away from ice floe, ice imps and mursaat can kill you fast if you're not careful.
