well here's what I'm thinking

must have at least 10 inspiration due to only healing spell in mesmer arsenal ether fiest

maybe some in fast casting

so i can only choose one more attribute since i want a lot of pts in them.

That's why it's not both domination and illusion

yeah, but inspiration is not for healing, so id go with jsut taking healer henches, and go with dominaiton if you want damage and illusion if you want degeneration, but only go with one bc you will stretch ur attributes pretty far with 4. then put some in FC, it really helps to get ur spells out faster.

Go Domination. It isnt your job to take out the melee enemies, and casters can damage your party more.

How about having different templates and swap them when you get bored? It only requires buying 2 masks.

Switch between the two, it will cost you ~1.5k to get the second mask with a rune and insignia and maybe another 1k for a second green.

well I feel it's always good to have atleast one self-heal, and ether fiest will have to do.

Domination magic does have some awsome dmge ignoring spells though and I could use it for e-denial in pvp

but illusion gots some sweet degen, and ineptitude!!(I don't know looking at is it looks so cool)

o well I guess I can try both and buy 2 masks, and maybe 2 greens.

Domination is better.

There are a few cases where you can mix illusion into it, but for the most part it's not needed. Degen is weak, snares largely unneeded. Building an entire skillbar around an elite usually isn't effective, and bringing a skillbar of sub-par skills just to use Ineptitude (which in itself is decent but not amazing) isn't worth it.

It just comes down to what you have more fun playing for the most part. Buy both masks.

We can always thank Avarre for a short, concise and perfect post that makes sense beyond our comprehension.

Since GWEN is on the scene i think (i know sounds MENTAL) fevered dreams deserves a look, my heroes are a MM with rotting and 2 SF or SH eles 1 with ward of elements the other with enfeebling blood, the real reason is Finish Him! get anything to half health and you've just wiped out an entire mob AoE Deep Wound and Cracked Armour with SF wipes everything in seconds. Fevered can be used as an AoE Snare too thanks to You Move Like a Dwarf!

Before GWEN tho and when i was Vanquishing i take a Dom bar with Ineptitude and Images of Remorse or Fragility. 7 FC (its pve after all and you get more twirly casts) 12 Illus 14 Dom seemed fine.

Just have fun with your mesmer turn bars pink, slow them, interupt them whatever floats your boat.

This was what I ran through Prophecies and Factions as well (Inep + IoR, same atts) and it is a fairly solid setup.

I really like to use illusion in pve. Giving your foes -10 degen and doing every second 90 damage thanks to the sunspear skill necrosis and on top of that you can interrupt key skills.

Degen skills are fun, but nothing compares to throwing backfire on monks and casters and then watching them quickly kill themselves. Aneurysm is also pretty sweet.

it depends on your party setup and the location you're at.
but basically Illusion is more of a "niche" attribute while Domination is the Mesmer's primary weapon...

I mostly use the Me/A Neutral IW. The only difference is that she have more points on Dagger Mastery than Illusion and she uses Shadow Sanctuary. I also sometimes have her act as an anti-mage interrupter.
