i have been farming Exuro for a long time using an E/A build, and even in HM he is very easy to kill. If your using a silver armor based build to kill him, you need to lure over another group otherwise you lack the damage to kill him. The group you want is the rangers and mesmers behind him, as silver wont jump to anyone else.

Hmm tried out the Ops build, however was having problems with the burning (especially since I tried it out as 55...dont have the -20 offhand). The Mo/E sliver amor does not work effectively unless you aggro another group.

So I then tried standard Mo/D build with mystic regen, swapped out essence bond for zealots fire and illusionary weaponary for shield of judgement. Went into HM and manage to kill him without dying (3-4 times but no drop). However this is a bit slow. Any build suggestions which would make it faster?

Dont have a dervish, can try with Monk and Ele.

Try M/N SV mate
PS, SH, SoA, SV, Wallow's Bite (dont remember exactly), Balthazar Spirit, Mending (+2 only is enuf), Bless Aura.

Dont remember the att points but 12 Blood, and other for Protection (may be 13) and Divine (may be 12). 105 is better to deal with burning (no need -50/-20 offhand).

He will be down after 2 SV, just finish him with WB.

I farmed him some couple of times, just to see if he would come down fast, with various builds.

Sliver, Spoil Victor, Spiteful Spirit and Shield of judgement are all possible

Probably Backfire as well. All tested in Hard Mode.

PS, Healing Breeze, (damage skill), Blessed sig, Balthazars Spirit, Essence Bond and Mending (+4 regen), (Blessed Aura for SoJ or an extra damage skill)

Spoil Victor turned out to work the fastest of them all, provided that you exchange Blessed Aura for Life Siphon. Why Life Siphon? Since Spoil Victor is conditional, if his life ends up below 85 (or whatever your SV dmg is), he wont hurt himself anymore, unless he heals above it again. Life Siphon takes care of that, killing him fast when he is below 85 hp.

I manage to kill him in 1 minute flat this way.

Sometimes when you spawn, u get killed before the screen loads by the patrol. When you get ressurected at the shrine, it is still possible to kill Exuro with DP and get his stuff.

He is also a good source for Elite Elementalist farming.

Thanks for the responses. Tried it out yesterday with 105 hp and Spoil Victor (Took Wallows bite instead of life siphon, its takes two casts of WB once SV gets him down to kill him). He drops like a rock. Unfortunately, yesterday was a bad day, nada drops in 5 runs in HM.

So I got bored and went to Fahranur as Mo/D and a boss drops its low level green on the first run

Any sensible Ether Renewal build will kill him. You don't even need any other health gain; all the pain you'll take is a bit of on-fire.

Whoops. That isn't true. My actual build has Mystic Regeneration, not Tenai's Crystals. And Sliver Armor is in there instead of Crystal Wave.

Also, because Lightbringer's Gaze isn't as armor-ignoring as advertised, it really doesn't do much more single-target damage than Stone Daggers against Exuro -- 62, vs. 44 for a Stone Daggers cast. So I'm not sure it's as valuable in the skill bar as I've been saying.

Anyhow, the build I DO use works. I just got his green for the third time.

Basically it comes down to persistence to get the staff. I killed him 5-10 times and didnt get it, and I got bored. Statistically after an avarage of 20 kills you should get the staff I think. This also means u can get it after 5 or 35 kills, but that is just more unlikely to happen.

Had my 4 staffs in about 15 runs, but now he wont drop jack shit anymore. Not even a white item lol.... Think I overfarmed him a bit
