W/A SS build, Suitable for PvE?
Hey I was just wondering if this build is good to use for general PvE.
[skill]Steady stance[/skill] [skill]Desperation Blow[/skill] [skill]Drunken blow[/skill] [skill]Wild Blow[/skill] [skill]Disrupting Dagger[/skill] [skill]Signet of Malice[/skill] [skill]Healing Signet[/skill] ReZ
And what campaign should I start for this build? Nightfall or Factions?

As a general rule, PvP orientated builds, such as an SS warrior, work well in PvE, with an ounce of common sense. That said, there's generally modifications that can be made. For example, in areas with few dodging stances (most of PvE) Wild Blow can be switched for Watch Yourself! as a party buff.
And as for the two campaigns? Up to you, really. At least in Factions you get Drunken Blow for free, and can have /A from the go.

No.
Few reasons:
- Too small damage output
- The build is not making any use at all of the adrenaline gain
- Condition spamming is not very effective in PvE

Well with the energy gain, being able to spam +42 dmg almost constantly and with the degen from bleed. Thats nice damage output.

+42 damage from three skills twice every 7 seconds is pretty bad. Hell, spamming just Power Attack with the same investment produces more damage, conditions aside. And speaking of conditions, bleeding is merely 6 DPS, and the condition is not even guaranteed from D-Blows! Deep wound is much better, but that too is random with Desperation and Drunken Blows.
Also, take into consideration that you cannot use an IAS skill with Steady Stance, and if you're running 16 in Tactics, you can't obviously max your weapon attribute, so overally your base damage will be rather crappy.

Offcourse I can max my weapon attribute, 13(12+1) sword/axe and 16(12+1+3)tactics and rest in strength.

A maxed attribute is 12 + 1 (headgear) + 1-3 (rune) = 14-16. PvE-warriors aim for 16 in their weapon.

i would indeed also use a scythe if you think about using this. you'll usually end up fighting bunched up foes most of the time if you bodyblock some, which will result in multiple hits with each attack.
combine it with some adrenalin shouts so you can actually make use of the gained adrenalin and you'll do ok in PvE.
(generally, anything goes in PvE realy xD)

I like steady stance builds for gate of madness as they work well with riposte and wild blow while still being useful throughout the rest of the mission. Damage output isn't great (maybe if you used IWAY...) though your team will appreciate a high "WY!". Take a zealous and use it for soldier's strike. I'd recommend a scythe for general pve too. And finally, drop tactics to around 14.

I've been away from guild wars. And only now I see that they nerfed SS if im correct, it only works "the next time" you attack. that really sucks =.=

It's always been that way, you're probably getting it confused with balanced stance.

imo build blows a big one, especially in pvp so ppl should stop running it
id sudgest a maxed out weap attributes with skills like galrath slash, dragon slash, eviscerate, executioners strike... ull have good ammount of energy left anyway, will do more dmg faster, and ull actually use adrenaline

IMO. Steady Stance is not worth using PvE since you have to dedicate so much of your bar to really make SS of any real use. True that you can put out some pretty good damage, but in the end, other warrior builds that are more flexible will ultimately be more effective in PvE...
If you really wanna stick with W/A, here is discussion taht was started about mobility while maintaining descent damage and usefulness, as a W/A. Not many people commented, but maybe the few responses will give you some ideas?

Anyway, just a couple more cents in the pot, GL!
Cheers.
Hope it helps a bit
