Default Nahpui Quarter Farming

Alright, farming Nahpui Quarter for Celestial weapons by killing Star Lights, Star Blades an Star Senetials seems easy yet it is very hard to do. Star Lights spam Wielder boon and weapon spells, and when they are on low health they use Nightmare weapon, which basically kills any 55/105 monk.

Basically what I am asking is if anyone has had success farming Naphi Quater

This is in hardmode

This is a list of the builds I have tried to use, but they are all having flaws thanks to the Star Lights

Mo/D 55hp/105
[skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill][skill]Scourge Healing[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill]
The main problem with this is when the star lights are on very low hp they use Nightmare weapon, killing you instantly. If you switch to 105hp you cannot regen enought to survive 3 lifesteals of 64hp

Mo/n 105hp
[skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill]
Same problem as above, you die when Star Lights cast Nightmare

Mo/N 55hp/105hp
[skill]Spoil Victor[/skill][skill]Vampiric Gaze[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill]
Yet again same problem, you cannot kill Star Lights this time though.

Mo/X 600hp
[skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill][skill]Scourge Healing[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Spirit Bond[/skill][skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill]
Energy issues unless you get a full aggro, which you may just die anyway. I haven't tested this alot yet so it may work. Damage may not be high enought.

Dual Smite 600
No point posting, it's the normal dua smite build. It requires too people, and can easily kill the Rangers and Warriors but cannot kill the Star Lights.

I am determined to get this to work, and I need your help.

See these articles for details
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Star_Light
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Star_Sentinel
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Star_Blade

Also, besides these guys and Undead Slaves, can anyone name whatever creatures drop a gold weapon of what they are wielding. If these guys are wielding a celestial weapon they drop a gold of it. Thankyou

I run this build
55 monk/necro
Protective spirit
Shield of absorbtion
Spoil victor
Scourge Healing
Banish
Mending
Baltha Aura
Blessed aura

CAN KILL star lights but you gotta kill them first because they can use nightmare weapon at any time.

First 5 runs i got about 10 celestials
next 5 i got about 2 (1 from chest)

drops deteriorate really fast here just like all HM spots

Also note if you see a star sentinel holding a celestial long bow it WILL drop a celestial long bow, this is the same with Star Blades holding celestial swords.

However, if you see a star blade holding a celestial shield it is NOT guarenteed to drop.

oh yea one last thing kill in this order: Lights, Sentinels, blades (they give adquate energy)

You CANT surive nightmare weapon at 55/85/105 whatever. You can never regen fast enought to survive 3 65s.

haha, I've farming celestial weapons and crenellated sword with 55 sv necro for awhile, for killing star lights, just hide behind wall, building, around the corner.

if going 1 on 1 without wall, cast sv on him and strafe left and right (like playing counter strike) at a distance, if you time it correctly, he will miss you all the time. If not, just have a 85 or a +60hp staff rdy whenever you see he cast nightmare weapon, switch weapon.

Good luck hunting.

Spoil Victor
vamp gaze or whatever
Awaken the Blood
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Mending
Essence Bond
Balthazar's Spirit

n/mo 16 blood 9 healing 9 prot rest SR

I've been able to kill up to 6 star lights at once. Nightmare weapon isn't a threat. They only use it on enemies taking damage, there are other rules for taking advantage of the AI too but that's the main one. You can kill both the ele and mesmer bosses easily.

I use the Mo/N 105hp build with spiteful spirit and insidious parasite..I've never died because of the nightmare weapon, make sure you run to the light while the warriors are attacking you. (spam skills so divine favor will also heal you)

more information can be find here

If your not going to post you build, don't bother trying to make a teaser.

@Wittie, do you just take a very small aggro? Or fast reflexes for Divine Favor bonus?

Default the builds are fine its just skill!

Theres a simple trick that has worked for me since the first Canthan double chance of goldie drops from chest weekend last year and that is attacking with a staff.

While you attack the star lights spam Wailing Weapon and not Nightmare Weapon. Its a bit harder with 2 or more but if you cleaver you can hide behind walls and Sometimes small buildings avoiding being hit by starlights.Nightmare Weapon is sometimes the first skill they cast thoe so just dodge and use a 1/4 casting spell for a big heal.

Its not hard you just have to spend more time playing then reading posts.

I 105 the Lights, hit em with SS and IP, also keep IP on a blade if you can... you heal the -60 odd steal very fast with 1 or 2 IPs on foes... Never had a problem since doing this, at 105 can tank 4 Stars provided IP is on one or two of them

its doable as 55hp n/mo. just make sure you dont have more then 2 lights at once, and put sv on each of them, or else they heal each other. i got 2 req9 celestial bows and a req12 shield in 2 runs, but all of them where merch food...i was never able to finish naphui, coz i die on stupid moments...

Another thing I like about staffs and spears is when your farming mass agro just attack the fella with less health even when they run away. This makes them come straight back at you even thoe they are about to die and after they do die just attack the next target.

I was also think that some creatures like the tengu I use to farm dont like lighting weapons or spells. So with the right weapon you can do a little more dmg which is big time saver when there one left
