Default Beastmaster W/R concepts

These concept arrived from the new buffed otyugh's cry. Before the buff, there was no way to ensure your pet would hit if there were wards, aegis, and such.

CONCEPT 1 (SWORD BASED)

Strength/Tactics: 3
Swordsmanship: 14 (12+2) <-- use zealous
Beast Mastery: 12

- Feral Lunge (Beast Mastery)
- Gash (Swordsmanship)
- Barbarous Slice (Swordsmanship)
- Disrupting Lunge (Beast Mastery)
- Otyugh's Cry (Beast Mastery)
- Heal as One [Elite] (Beast Mastery)
- Charm Animal (Beast Mastery)
- Resurrection Signet ()

Sideboard 1 (Knockdown specialty):
- Savage Pounce (Beast Mastery) instead of Feral Lunge ; Steelfang Slash (Swordsmanship) instead of Gash; Final Thrust (Swordsmanship) instead of Barbarous Slice

One of the main problems with swords is they miss out on disruption. TBH, Savage Slash was never good to begin with, and when they slapped it with a 10 energy price tag I never used it again.
The beastmaster solution is Disrupting Lunge.

Before Factions, there was no way to run such a build, since Heal as One wasn't out yet. Heal as one is the only way to avoid cramming tactics for Heal sig or Strength for Lion's comfort while also using comfort animal. So that's 2 slots saved.

Feral Lunge/Barborous slice --> gash
Otyugh's Cry to make pet unblockable-->Disrupting Lunge for interrupts

The only problem remains is what to do with the empty shield hand. I'm guessing a wintergreen shield or a no req focus

although you could make it

Strength/Tactics: 9 (8+1)
Swordsmanship: 12 (10+2)
Beast Mastery: 12

at the cost of 2 levels of swordsmanship and use a req 8 shield (to avoid getting degraded in armor by the new weakness condition)
================================================== ========

CONCEPT 2 (AXE BASED)

Strength: 9 (8+1)
Axe Mastery: 12 (10+2) <-- use zealous
Beast Mastery: 12

- Counterattack (Strength)
- Dismember (Axe Mastery)
- Axe Rake (Axe Mastery)
- Disrupting Lunge (Beast Mastery)
- Otyugh's Cry (Beast Mastery)
- Heal as One [Elite] (Beast Mastery)
- Charm Animal (Beast Mastery)
- Resurrection Signet ()

Counterattack was chosen since it is cheap to use with strength investment.
This build has what the one has in terms of deep wound, but this has cripple.

The problem with disrupting chop has always been blocking, so otyugh's cry -->disrupting lunge takes care of that.
================================================== =======
Not the most interesting thing in the world, but pretty workable in terms of damage and survivability of the pet.

Nice builds. The first one is similar to what I use though:

[skill]resurrection signet[/skill][skill]heal as one[/skill][skill]charm animal[/skill][skill]heket's rampage[/skill][skill]call of protection[/skill][skill]barbarous slice[/skill][skill]gash[/skill][skill]bestial pounce[/skill]

Most are low energy skills and should be able to be spammed without problems. The attributes are similar to the OP's sword build as well. Due to the pet's crappy attack speed, I use bestial pounce just for the damage and not really for disruption. However, if it happens, its good . I use gash because frankly IMO, if you are a warrior, deep wound is such a good condition for a warrior to pass out on.

I use CoP because it has a long duration. I suppose you can change that to [skill]Otyugh's Cry[/skill] or [skill]Call of Haste[/skill] if you wanted to. I use Heket's Rampage primarily to build up my adrenaline for the sword skills.

This is a good base for a pet build I have used.
[skill]"Victory is Mine!"[/skill] [skill]Sever Artery[/skill] [skill]Gash[/skill] [skill]Final Thrust[/skill] [skill]Poisonous Bite[/skill] [skill]Comfort Animal[/skill] [skill]Charm Animal[/skill] [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

The attributes are high sword equal tactics + beast.... ish.

I haven't used the new Otyugh's Cry on my warrior yet. Before the buff I used this in AB sometimes:

[skill]Heket's Rampage[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Final Thrust[/skill][skill]Poisonous Bite[/skill][skill]Heal as One[/skill][skill]Sprint[/skill][skill]Charm Animal[/skill]

High Swordsmanship and Beast Mastery, of course. Instead of using a wintersday shield I set my Tactics to 4 so I could use the Bulwark of Balthazar, a collector's item from the post-searing Ascalon area It has only 6 armor but gives +5 when attacking, which means a total of +11.

LifeInfusion, I like your axe build but you could need an IAS, if I were you I'd really take a look at Heket's Rampage.
