Me/E Foxfire (possible pre-existince)
hello hello. This is a build I made for laying on the pressure without SF and with as little recharge time needed as possible. I don't know if this exists or not already but here it goes and if it does then I apologize. And this is mainly a FA/JQ + AB build.
[skill]Mantra Of Recovery[/skill][skill]flare[/skill][skill]glowing gaze[/skill][skill]mark of rodgort[/skill][skill]meteor shower[/skill][skill]flame djinn's haste[/skill][skill]fire attunement[/skill][skill]ether feast[/skill]
Attributes:
fast casting: 15 (11+1+3)
Fire Magic: 12
Inspiration magic: 8 (6+2)
Recommended equipment:
Weapon:
Insightful Fire Staff Of Fortitude (have faith inscription)
Armor:
All Radiant
Head: sleek mask of superior fast casting
Chest: Best vigor Rune
Arms: Attunement rune
Legs: Major Inspiration Magic
Feet: Vitae rune
How to use:
-use mantra BEFORE casting fire attunement and keep it on as much as possible.
-Find a stationary target and make sure mantra is still on then cast meteor shower.
-cast mark of rodgort right afterward and glowing gaze to gain back some energy
-spam 2-3 flares then glowing gaze again and keep fire attunement and mantra up.
-Use ether feast if you face a ranger who needs needling shot to keep your health just above 50% to not give him an advantage.
-if you run out of energy then just whack them with your staff and use glowing gaze to start regaining energy.
This build can usually take out an outpost by himself and causes foes to flee when he starts spamming flare and glowing gaze to inflict pressure.
counters:
-Anti spam skill
-enchantment removal will really hinder this build
-hex removal will hinder its pressure ability but is easily reapplied
-constant interrupts (which pretty much disrupts most builds anyway.)

replacing flare with liquid flame gives a huge gap between spells and leaves you to rely on your staff. not good against an anti-melee mesmer.

no caster relies on staving for damage. Take Liquid.

haha QFT, energy isnt an issue if you properly distribute your skill points and set skills properly. Firstly, dump ether feast if youre on a team with a monk, take auspicious incantation. With any 15 energy spells, it's pleasure.
If its for PvE, dump flame djinns haste, youll be moving as a party anyways. For that i would possibly take ether signet. I guarentee you wont run out of energy if you have it with you.
then i can see a build like this getting into a deep or urgos party
EDIT: possibly consider immolate in there, synergy with glowing gaze.

As a reply to the liquid flames, no caster finds himself losing to an anti-melee mesmer either.
as to energy management I made this first combo mainly as a general template. you can add and subtract to it as you wish but at least the primary components are displayed, mantra of recovery at maximum NEEDED firepower. heh, firepower. anyway, yes for immolate it's a good choice. for PvE yes you can get rid of Flame Djinn's Haste (unless you all plan to run *coughInfusioncough*) and for ether feast as well yes if you have a monk. this was tested for aspenwood and am still coming up with different combos for it to add to the tips. it shows nice promise for PvE though.

I played around with this. Not that it's necessarily any good, but lava arrows at least benefits from MoR and has the same spammy function, except you can keep a bunch of guys on fire at once.

it is true lava arrows can keep 3 people burning but 2 problems.
1: you have to be in half range, putting you in prime position for any melee combatants and any half range sin spikers not to mention a proper illusion mesmer could spot you and cast crippling anguish to keep you out of range for the cast to happen.
2: burning arrows multi-person effectiveness needs multiple people around and after a while people tend to notice what you are doing and move back or use a counter.
and to Sha noran, flare basically recharges instantly anyway. the purpose of MoR is for Glowing Gaze to recharge more often and supply you with more energy.
