Build Concept - A/E Return of the Double Dragon
First build post, so typically be gentle. Been playing guildwars a while and I've been toying with builds but nothing really crazy. But after making an Elementalist I found myself having the time of my life with Double Dragon {e} and found myself really wanting to use it in a situation where placing yourself in mele range by need rather than just cause you can ( face it ele's have great ranged nukes ) and I found myself toying with this idea. Any help as to making it work a little smoother or even just general thoughts on the idea would be nice. I've tried to include a smooth synergy with energy management but its not as easy as I thought.
Deadly Arts 8
Critical Strikes 10
Fire Magic 11
Shadow Arts 6
- Dark Prison
- Black Lotus Strike
- Critical Strike
- Impale
- Malicious Strike
- Double Dragon {e}
- Return
- Res Signet
Typically Dark Prison opens with a quick snare followed by black lotus strike and critical strike to give a low energy use high damage spike while keeping it in the 'critical' range, followed by Impale to add Deep Wound and additional damage ending with a Malicious Strike to get a free crit and more damage ( deep wound conditional ) finishing finally with Double Dragon and Return, causing the initial blast from double dragon to finish the spike and return to cripple anyone in the area to hold them for the 2 seconds double dragon requires for the second 'dragon' to hit. Return I have the party set up to the F1 - F8 keys so I can more or less pick the monk and get the hell out. I do this because if I have just shadow prisoned someone with an ally hitting the same target, if you use 'choose closest ally' it'll return you a whopping next door.
Also no runes have been added ( yet ) as I am still adjusting the idea.
This is a general idea I am working on, I have also swapped out Malicious Strike for Glyph of Energy.
Its an idea I'm still toying with in general .. so any ideas or tips or even if someone has a build that runs Double Dragon already I'd be more than appreciative.
( edit ) been using this primarily in PVP due to its high damage low 'over time' survivability.
