Default R/Rit Barrage Splinter Mob Farmer

This build was Inspired by the Rt/R Dead sword farming, but adepted for Ranger and more general use, in this Example the Stygian Veil

Attributes:
  • Beast Mastery: 6+3
  • Expertise: 4+3
  • Wilderness: 7
  • Marksmanship:7+1+1
  • Channeling Magic: 12

Skills:

[skill]Barrage[/skill][skill]Nightmare Weapon[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Wielder's Strike[/skill][skill]Natural Stride[/skill][skill]Dodge[/skill][skill]Zojun's Haste[/skill][skill]Edge of Extinction[/skill]

I never use the Nightmare weapon, but it could be use full some times. Could be swapped for trolls unguent, or for doa LB gaze.

Weapons:

Any Flat Bow will do, in my case Drago's Flatbow. U need the Flat Bow for the long flight time.

As for the farming:

Put down EoE. Cast Splinter Weapon, and Barrage on closest. When the arrows leaves the tip of your bow use 1 of the 33% running skills to loose agro and run away. Repeat till they have died. If one of them is left use any weapon spell and wielders strike for an instant zap.

Yep that's the build, but this is the R/rt adoption, LB gaze is a nice skill to add though. Will put that in the guide

Any big group, without an good monk will do. Like the slaves for instance.
I think having this set up for B/p in TotPK will just slice through there.

i tried this build in general PvE but you'll find that the mobs are too much spread out. But when you really hit 3-4 enemies at once it's quite a nice damage output. I never thought of running away and attacking again. (but as said it was only for quests and missions not for farming purpose)

Maybe you can use this at urgoz warren as well

Well the deadword, slaves farming works. I should try to get a full R/rt B/p group together for TotPK with this build. I think it will shread it to peaces. And yes also urgoz is bound to be good

If Nightmare weapon is optional...why not put in a preperation like Kindle Arrows for a little extra dmg?

Barrage
  • Campaign: Core
  • Ranger
  • Profession: Ranger
  • Attribute: Marksmanship
  • Type: Elite Bow Attack
  • 5 Energy 1 Recharge
All your Preparations are removed. Shoot arrows at up to 6 foes adjacent to your target. These arrows strike for +1...13 damage if they hit.

I think that awnsers your question . Taking a Vamp mod could be a benefit, but I have no vamp flat bow ^^. Could put in Winnowing, but no Favorable Winds. We don't want a speed in crease for our arrows.

what about winnowing? to bad favorable winds does decrease arrow flight time.
