For HM farming, E/Mo would be best. But you can change your 2nd profession at anytime when you get to a certain point in the game. Nightfall is easiest and quickest way to beable to change ur secondary profession, after doing the "Command Post" quest'. Factions u need to get to Senji's Corner, and Prophecies you need to complete desert quest after ascending which takes the longest. So don't worry about your second profession, just pick anything useful for the newb island.

No. Just, no.
Go with E/A and use shadow form to prevent damage, and kill bosses. Shouldn't be too hard to find the build around the farming section.
Healing hands negates damage for health, but it's an elite skill that doesnt work very well because you'd have to echo it for longer benefit, because honestly, it doesn't last long enough to be your only heal.

Reversal of Fortune is probably the skill you are thinking of.

The only two skills that make you gain health instead of losing it when taking damage are [skill]Mark of Protection[/skill] and [skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill] from the monk's Protection Prayers line.
Both are no really viable options for self heal, MoP because it's an elite and has a long recast, RoF because it would have to be spammed over and over.
If this is for farming purposes (not clear from the OP), then you are looking into the wrong direction altogether. Elementalist farm builds generally try to avoid taking damage to start with (by using armour spells and damage reducing skills, like Armour of Earth + Stoneflesh Aura for instance) rather than heal.
In case there is damage that can't be avoided, then Aura of Restoration still would be the most common way to go.

Oh, You are in the farming section of forum. What you mean by heal yourself? just doing missions and quest? and by the way, what lvl are u? when you said you haven't picked your sub class yet, to me that led me to think you are still on the newb island and just started your character. So thats why I mentioned changing 2nd professions.
But ya, why not just use Shielding Hands or SoA.
And just a off subject question for Philo... how do you add pictures of skill with pop up description??? i been wondering how to do that with my farming post.

You do this just like described by attackofthecold: put the exact name of the skill in a skill-tag with []-brackets.
ps:
Like you I'm still not convinced that this is actually a topic for the farming section

I don't think he's asking about farming, or else he'd get better armor usually...and a secondary. If you want to run an ele with good self healing, go e/d with mystic regeneration, attunement, aura of restoration. It gives +9 health regen always and gives health when you cast.
