Alright I'll try to be positive with you this time...
...
Breath!...

Okay, so asking simply what elementalist build to use at the moment is enormous stupid. If you were asking for warrior's build or assasin's (ie) we could forgive you, but elementalist is such a changeable character, from fire (giving cool AoE) to earth (giving bulletproof armor) to even Ice (making melee look useless ^^) you can't have single popular build(sf screw it) in the game..It depends on what you plan to farm or even play through missions..Ie if you're at Ring of Fire it's stupid to bring Fire skills, as Ice would do way more dmg..If you're at UW it's useless to bring Air trying to nuke Ataxe..On the other side, bringing Earth to the some of the missions will give you dmg boost 'cos of environmental effect..

So ask again more precisely, and the rest of community including me will look forward to help you!

The most up-to-date (i.e., cookie cutter) build around for eles at the moment is (still) undoubtedly Searing Flames.

[skill]Searing Flames[/skill]
[skill]Glowing Gaze[/skill]
[skill]Mark of Rodgort[/skill]
[skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill]
[skill]Fire Attunement[/skill]
[skill]Glyph of Sacrifice[/skill]
[skill]Meteor Shower[/skill]
[skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]

... is the best variation I've found, all the other crap just gets in the way of SF spam. HOWEVER... SF builds are (imo) far too cumbersome as a single ele, ideally you need 3+ guys all running SF to tear stuff apart.

If you're the lone ele in the group, I prefer Mind Blast-based builds. You could always splash into Healing/Protection Prayers or Earth Magic for some utility on the side.

And yes... I realise I haven't given you any E/*Me* builds - atm there's little that /Me offers for general use. Echo-nuking sucks. Death Pact Signet/Res Chant are far better.

My HEROES have standard Elem/Mes builds because they have the four basic SF build spells (Searing Flames, Glowing Gaze, Fire Attunement, Glyph of Lesser Energy) plus Power Drain and Leech Signet to make up for their suboptimal energy management and to provide interrupts.

try this

flare
fireball
rodgorts invocation
glowing gaze
meteor storm
aura of restoration
fire atunement
rez

or if you care to step aside from fire try this earth build:

stone daggers
ebon hawk
glowstone
stoning
obsidian flame/kinetic armor
earth attunement
aura of restoration
rez/obsidian flesh {e}

ele's are so versatile the best thing for you to do is to get out there and experiment with your own builds. find one that works for you. read and understand the skills and what they do and how they work together and try new builds yourself.
