I already had a black dye but I exchanged that for a Thirsty River run. =P

As well, the ecto drop rate is far too low for me to be gambling 1k on every UW/FoW farming run. Either I die and get nothing, kill everything and probably get nothing, or ignorantly bring the wrong skills and don't notice until I'm already there...

u could save up for a ranger + become a trapper for ecto farming or hm uw and you would have enough time (starting fresh) to gather skills + armour + money.
Or do SS/55 smite runs for more speed maybe. Or you could b cheap and do fow chest runs then pay half for beach farms.

I've started farming Bleach Shells. I got eight last night and traded two for the collector Carapace outside of Thirsty River, but I'm having trouble selling them. Is 1k too much to ask? :/
