First off I can't get this to work at all it seems, I have the skill bar as follows

I have 13 Earth, for some reason i cannot go any higher, I have all pieces with AL vs Earth Elemental Damage, 73 Energy, and using a earth staff 20/20/20 +1 Earth on head piece.

In NM and HM I cast in order and I can't seem to keep up my HP and Energy, what the heck am I doing wrong?

You need to add a rune of Superior Earth Magic to your headpiece. That will give you 12+1+3 = 16. For other runes you will need a Minor Air Magic and a Superior Vigor. The last runes can be either Attunement or Vitae.

Don't try to farm the vaettir in NM. You need to be in HM, because there are more vaettir and they attack faster, giving you more energy from Mantra of Earth. The hits you take as you move around gathering up the vaettir should give you enough energy to keep going until you're surrounded, at which point you should have far more energy coming in than you can use.

But energy is usually a little tight while you're gathering aggro, so you can't afford to waste any. When you say you are casting the skills "in order", do you mean in the order shown on your bar? If so, that is not really helping. You shouldn't be using Mantra every time you go through the cycle, since that's a waste of energy. It's a long-lasting stance, so stick it at the end of the bar and renew it as needed so that it's up full time. Put up OF and SFA only when you are ready to start gathering aggro.

Sliver Armor is not a very good choice in a farming build these days, as it usually causes far too much scatter since it was nerfed. When they scatter, they aren't hitting you, and you get no energy from them.

I would suggest trying OgVTMY0kYKbYJiF0GU6Tb4ryAA.

The virtues of this build are that it doesn't cause scatter, and Inspiration Magic is maxed so that Mantra lasts longer and prevents more damage. You don't need to put anything into Energy Storage. Maintain the last three skills as you gather aggro. When you have a good group of vaettir adjacent to you, hit Ether Nightmare and CoP, then follow up with the two waves as a finisher. Don't be in too much of a rush. Make sure all the vaettir are in a good, tight ball around you before hitting them with Ether Nightmare.

My equipment for this build is a caster spear of Enchanting and an earth focus with Forget Me Not and a core of Endurance (+45 HP while stanced), but a focus like Hajok's Prism (green focus from Hajok Earthguardian in Yatendi Canyon) works fine as well.

I use this for my E/Mes

All Geomancers Sup Earth + Vigor, Minor ES, the rest are Attunements

Weapon of choice, Any Staff With 20%HSR-,40%HCT,20% Longer Enchantments.

3 mins tops per run, and to be honest Arcane echo,Crystal Wave and Tenai's Crystals are not really needed I rarely use them.
I usually Just Spam Wastrel's Worry on different foes as soon as they've balled around me (tab wastrel tab wastrel tab wastrel etc etc)

I suppose I could replace them with something else maybe Storm Djinn's Haste to ease the journey to them but meh I'm lazy like that

and that's all there is too it, go get em

if you cant go above 13 check and see if you have done both attribute quests for your char - that not being done leaves 30 points point of 200.
