Thanks for sharing this build... but I have a doubt. Why are you showing 5 screenshots of your Torso armor? Did you commited a mistake or something?

A small improvement on ur runes perhaps, a sup fast casting might be useful to avoid interrupts

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but unfortunately you are not the first to farm mursaat.

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3018809

Also, the mursaat at the beginning of the Ring of Fire mission (mostly jade armors and bows) are a pretty common farming spot (this was before factions, the spirit bond + retribution + sv/av combo works better):

Granted, however, your version seems to be a little more versatile compared to others.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes, I was familiar with those threads, I had been farming the Jades with a 55 at ROF, but the constant revolving in and out of the mish seems to kick in farm code quicker. I did not consider that a true mursatt solo, due to the inability to kill the casters.

I haven't tried the war build, but it probably takes quite a bit more finesse and probably a little bit of luck. I don't believe that build can handle necros.

Honestly i like the versitility vs the quick easy over farmed kills, This is really the first good build i've seen for soloing mursaat. all the other post=suckysucky, Don't be hating on a sweet build.

Nice build you got here.
btw you don't need to be infused vs Spectral agony because Spirit bond and Protective spirit will trigger upon the dmg from that skill..
altough you will cast skills slower when you don't have infuse armor ;/

I haven't been farming this a whole lot lately, but my goal was to get a hornbow also. I think I have farmed the Ice Floe route ~10 times. I usually get 2 golds, but no hornbows or hammers. I have had one purple bow drop and picked a gold one out of a chest. I am just assuming that the gold's drop bout as frequently as anywhere else. I think I made about 30 solo UW trips before a gold storm bow finally dropped from a dryder

The ROF golds seem to be at 1 every 5 trips, if I clean out the entire bunch.

BTW, no luck at all with the towers... has anyone else tried? Doesn't seem like soloing ROF and Abbadon would be much of a problem if the towers would go down.

hmmm... prob get owned by the Breezekeepers.

Excellent

Knocked Issusion down to 15 and put FC up to 11.Seems to help a bit.

This is some insane farming, really enjoying it.

how about making a video of your build... do a couple groups from Ice Floe and clear out the beginning of RoF..

also... if you are only interested in getting hammers and bows, only the jade armors drop them (to my knowledge). so a pure 55 smite monk is best to out the jades.

^ Actually the casters drop both the hammer and bows.Seen it with my own eyes.

Best drop yet was rare Sup Vig armor, and a grape hornbow.
Still waiting for the leet stuff, doesn't wanna drop.

I have been working on other things, but when I was doing this run it was not consistently enough to be a problem. Just follow them. Watch the -3's also - casters may move, but sv/av could still be in effect.

The weirdest problem I had was if aggroing too many Jades, the game all of a sudden wouldn't recognize player movement. I would move into the monks and the jades would still be wailing away at the spot I had been. Going back to that vicinity seems to reset it most of the time.

I would appreciate any improvements to the build, but I have a hard time seeing how a monk could be faster. The potential strength would be in smiting - both SOJ and Retribution can't be targeted.

Same. I did get a req 8 Hammer from a caster, but it was purple. Saving it till we find out how the inscription salvage works. The only gold bow I have gotten has been from a chest. Don't bother opening the ones in imp vicinity.

I've tried Mo with Ret and SoJ and it can take down the jades faster- that is if you can kill the monk.Which is impossible.

I suggest you get rid of Superior runes that aren't need. All you need is 1 Sup Issusion and 1 Sup FS.
And add a vigor rune to your chest.Gives you more health and makes a safer build when going against Mursatt necros and Jade Bows [hornbows shoot very slow]

11 FC
16 Illusion
and
10 in Protection is all you need.

A FFS with -10 armor while attacking and +20 enchanting helps with triggering SB.The HSR 10% kicks in more than I thought it would.

Ive been having fun soloing Grenths Footprint with this build

Looking forward to what you currently working on and thanks for sharing your build- it rocks!

Interesting - I tried Grenth's shortly after I posted this build and made it down to the first boss without any difficulty... but that is as much as I have tried. It would be awesome to get into SF - have you tried it?

I don't know about the best fit for health. I suppose a guy could figure it out. I think I started 105 and just went up. I figured if I could take the necs w/o a prob it was probably golden. Thanks for the recommendation - I'll check it out after this weekend is over. This build works great with Sskai and Arrahhsh - just swap one of the visages out for ignorance.

When NF comes out would IW apply to a scythe? And if so, this build would be even more awesome! Imagine dealing -40 to adjacent foes! *Drools*
