Join a SC group or something and observe what they do in those situations, then adapt that to what u and your friends are running. Cant really say much more then that.

OP said "balanced team."
Physway is the answer. Of course, that means that 2 of your friends will have to learn how to ER halfway decent.

2 ERs? We only use one:
3-4 frontline
ER
SoS Rit
Monk
Necro
And we do not pack a SF anywhere in the group.

I always did UW with a balanced team. heres what we used. 1 Tank sin, 1 HB, 1 UA, 1 SoS with earthbind, Necro SS support, 2 Searing flames eles. Then its your choise of eather splinter barrager or imbagon. Eles need to bring PI. Its a long run but i enjoy it way more then the Sc's people do these days

UW Balanced is easy as pie on NM or HM.
First get an Imba. Cake.
Now get 2 Melee profs. Scythe Sin, War, or Ranger works well. Earthshaker, Eviscerate, or 100B works well on warrior. Ranger/pet thumper is good too. Dag sin is good. Avoid Dervs b/c they suck! For now...
Get a Spirit Spammer.
Get a Nuker. Searing Flames, Assassin's Promise Mesmer/Ele/Necro/Rit, Ray of Judgment, Mark of Pain/Barbs if using 100B. DWG. Splinter Barrage. Get creative.
Get another Nuker. It is preferable to have only 1 AP mesmer. Avoid 2 because they will not help much on Dhuum.
E/Mo Heal Party Prot Spammer.
1 UA monk.
Easy w/ or w/o cons. 2 hours or less easily. My guild's best run is 1:30-1:40 on HM.
This is a good basic layout for a balanced team.

Sad to say UW has been reduced to OP builds...SF, ER, and SoS....really sad that some dungeons are a lot harder than UW *cough*vloxen*cough*

Most SC groups will hate you if you dont have summoning stones from the end chest and thats pretty stupid imo of course they want experienced players but when someone sc's the underworld like 50 times in a week (lot of free time) but doesnt like the stones so doesnt keep them they shouldent be removed from group and really i was SoS not a high stress possision really

Lol, UW is supposed to be hard, not a "you can take whatever you want and be ok" area.
I'd much rather you need strong builds than any fool and his cat being able to clear it with sub-standard bars.

Yeah... If you bring enough Vanguard assassin spammers, you don't even need a healer for fow in hm.

I think ya'll misunderstood me.....I was referring to not being able to SF run through vloxen......one actually needs to fight it now. Unlike UW where a SF/ER can still solo many areas. Anet, in trying to disrupt the UWSCers f'd balanced groups. Vloxen is one area where all the "nerfs" worked.

Me and my co-leader host balanced team parties for this. We bring a Tank (Defy Pain, Obsidian, whatever ), an SS/BR Necro, 4 damage dealers (any sort of damage dealers, we tweak our bars depending on what these are), and two healers (never an HB, seldom a UA, not saying these aren't useful, we just don't use them). Takes us 2-3 hours but that's how we do it. We'd be glad to help you if you would like. Shoot me a PM if you wish.

Tanks sadden me. They hardly seem balanced, although I believe ERs are balanced... Perhaps my perception of "balanced" is twisted, but it's still a two-"keep alive" backline, with your two midline support and frontline. Pretend you're in a HA WotAsway team and it'll look balanced.
Physway can be run with one ER and a UA, but you'd have to drop half your bonds in Mountains. There's a poor guide (due to heavy edits) on PvX. Take any physicals you want, as long as they can deal damage.

You did all the edits so I guess its just your build that sucks.

We just completed a UW run. 1 tank, 2 rangers with barrage, 2 100b warriors, 1 rit/barrager, 2 monks, one LoD UA mimic, and a UA monk with Mop......beat it. 2 hours 45 minutes. There are no required professions for this area.
This coincides with warcryoftruth with what he said, since we co-lead the same guild.

Not true; loads of PvXfags edited it after I laid it out first off. Then our tactics changed and I stopped updating it, so it's a little outdated and slow. What's annoying is everyone who added to it, didn't remove anything either; so it repeats itself alot and isn't exactly coherent and well-thought out.
