Best cross-profession running skill
Hi, I have a quiz for you. Which is the best (in terms of speed) running skill for professions that lack running skills of their own (mesmer, monk etc)? You need to take into account the speed boost (%) and the recharge time to estimate which is better for a given distance (or for a given time interval, which covers more distance). For non-primary attributes, you can spend up to 3 skillpoints for your running skill (you obvously need those 12s for your normal build )
So far I have done a comparison with dash and sprint (at 0 strength obviously), and dash wins for a couple of seconds in a small distance (around 30s running time). Any other ideas?

Just run Any/A running build.
Or at least have a look at them, because the best running skills are used there.
Without alco - I'm running a similar on rit and it works as good on sin.
With alco and r10 Dwarf
Red Rock gives you 33% IMS for 30min.

Definitly Dash + Dwarven Stability. But for non-cross professions, dervs have it beat with http://www.gwpvx.com/Build/A_Droknar%27s_Forge_Runner.

Seconded, definetly Dash.
Funnily enough just the other day (can't remember why though lol) I was figuring out whether Dash or Sprint at 0 strength would give me more land coverage (with both speed, buff length and recharge, taken into account), and Dash won.

Off topic, but what is the point of these running builds? Chest runs or something?

So you can get to outposts without having to fight your way there.

Anything from running past floors in dungeons to running from outpost to outpost in EOTN to chest runs to questing.

Is the best build for secondary runners IMO. I sometimes use some cupcakes for certain runs so I can bring more defence but there is practically nothing you can't run.
