Barrage is so brainless.
I'd rather load a pvp burning arrow build and screw around with it in pve. At least I spread poison and interrupt stuff.

also i would have thought barrage would leave more monsters around longer for them to attack the melee people.

How good is burn compared to bleed or poison in terms of overall damage per equal second?

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't burning -6 pips of health degeneration? So wouldn't that be 12 dps?

I admit I'm a HMer, so BHA is just working better for me in PVE

I live by Magebane in pvp.

I've been interrupting so long that I don't need daze all that much. I'm pretty good at predicting casting, and have pretty good reflexs to back it up.

Also magebane activated hella fast!

you can do both:
[card]Burning Arrow[/card] or [card]Broad Head Arrow[/card] + [card]Apply Poison[/card] + [card]Epidemic[/card]

Interrupting in PvP isnt hard, just wait till they stop moving lol it will interrupt 90% of players.

Try doing the same to the pop-up Touchers in Duncans easy enough to catch Vamp Bite/Touch (Pity thier not spells though, Magebane doesnt trigger )

Broad Head Arrow makes pve SO much easier, both NM and HM.

can somebody help me as lvl 20 R/Rit? As a ranger i get overwhelmed very quickly by the large number of creatures particularly assassins which is making my life difficult and daunting. I also have a warrior and i may actually turn to the warrior for playtime. Please help me stick with the ranger since i like its style of play. I have tried splinter, not helpful but do not have barrage or burning arrow as yet.

If you get overwhelmed you need to pay more attention to engaging one group of ennemies at a time. This way, even with crappy shing jea henchmen, you can't fail.

From what you have told me the problem seems to be that you are tryin to play a Ranger like a Warrior.I dont think the answer is a matter of a high damager output but more of learning to kite away from damage and letting a higher AL protted character take the brunt of the onslaught.

Try buying [skill=text]Natural Stride[/skill] and rather than standing in the one spot, the moment your getting hit hammer Natural Stride and re-position yourself. That should help you survive a little longer
