Pulverising Smash
[wiki]Pulverizing Smash[/wiki]
I personally would say that this skill is ownage on a warrior. I did some experimenting in RA with a backbreaker build, but the spike you get from backbreaker->pulverizing->heavy blow is pretty mean. I like it that you can do deep wound now without crushing blow and save 5 energy. Bottom line, this skill is awesome, anyone agrees?

you need a shitload of adrenaline to do that combo but yeah, it's badass
ive seen some people do devastating-pulverizing which i think is stupid and redundant
perhaps use an energy knockdown so you can pulverize more often (shock/shove?)

Hmm paired with [skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill] and [skill]enraging charge[/skill] the adrenaline isn't that bad. Shock is also nice, but the KD from backbreaker lasts longer, if the attack chain isn't blocked you can double KD lock a target for quite a while.
I made a build that kinda looked like this:
Strength: 12+1
Hammer mastery: 12+1+1
[skill]Backbreaker[/skill]
[skill]Pulverizing smash[/skill]
[skill]heavy blow[/skill]
[skill]bull's strike[/skill]
[skill]"For great justice!"[/skill]
[skill]flail[/skill]
[skill]enraging charge[/skill]
[skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

The thing is that with that same bar, you can easily run crushing instead of pulverizing and wouldn't have energy problems. And the fact that pulverizing is bugged so that it misses if the target isn't knocked down (aka kinda bad when fighting giants )

Rofl theres no giants in TA, but anyways, what you say makes sense, it's a trade off between a tad extra damage or having weakness. I personally like weakness, especially when melee sits on our monk for example. I could throw in staggering blow, but that would cost me an extra KD skill.
But it makes sense, in that case you would probably get something like Backbreaker->Crushing blow->Hammer bash if I understand you well.

You can't use that after shove since your all adrenline are gone with shove.

[skill=text]"For Great Justice!"[/skill] brings the effective energy cost of Backbreaker down to five strikes, and the other two adrenaline skills would have finished charging in two and a half (eh, okay three...) strikes. But none of that matters because at 13 Strength Enraging Charge returns 6 adrenaline, plus the equivalent of 2 more strikes when you hit. Backbreaker should nearly insta-charge

Haha, no you're not. My first attempt with it involved using it immediately after Heavy Blow; which for reasons that should have been completely obvious, is realistically not possible.

Hammer Bash > Heavy Blow simply due to the fact that if Weakness is Removed, you don't get your precious KD.
Now in RA and MAAYYBE TA, removing weakness is much more of a 'lucky me I have monk on team' issue, but at least Hammer Bash is unconditional and well...
Come on...
Hammer BASH
vs.
Heavy BLOW
The Bash sounds much cooler don't u think? ^_^

Hmmm.. 1 more strike of adrenaline to get an unconditional KD. I guess its a good trade-off in case the weakness is lost, but normally if I'm using Heavy Blow its because I just applied weakness mere seconds ago. Granted, of course it can be removed in that amount of time... I've personally never had an issue with it.
Either would work I suppose.

I'm liking pulverising smash a lot atm.
Its great with bulls strike as well this is what I have been using.
14 hammer
13 strength
dash
flail
backbreaker
pulverising
mighty blow
heavy blow
bulls strike
rez
dash is excellent for canceling flail since really you cant use rush and also catching kiters quickly with bulls strike then pulverising.

I'd much rather use crushing blow then pulverizing smash. 5e instead of 4a for an extra +19 damage. Doesn't seem like much, but +19 is better then +0. Pretty useles on a dev hammer bar, I guess it wouldn't be horrible on a backbreaker bar if you'd rather have your enemy have weakness then an added +19 damage.

I have to say I'm more in the Crushing blow fan club than the Pulverizing Smash fan club.
If your just looking to KD lock your target the Pulverizing looks good, but going for the kill that extra +19-21 damage is quite a bit to miss out on.

There's no much need to choose one.. if you're running Backbreaker, it makes more sense to follow it with Pulverizing; it costs adrenaline and applies Weakness which you wouldn't have otherwise. If you're using Devastating Hammer, that makes more sense to follow with Crushing due to the fact you already get Weakness from the elite and Crushing has +damage.
Besides, the fact its bugged and won't work on a standing target shouldn't even be a factor.. if it did hit, it would be no better than an autoattack.

Flail doesn't work very well since you have to knock them down, flail, hit them again, then use pulverizing. I like the kd --> mash flail+crushing then go to town.
I have had some fun with: [skill]backbreaker[/skill] [skill]burst of aggression[/skill] [skill]pulverizing smash[/skill] [skill]mighty blow[/skill] [skill]heavy blow[/skill] with frenzy sometimes in place of boa and then no heavy blow.

I use [skill]tiger stance[/skill] instead of [skill]burst of aggression[/skill] but besides that, it's pretty much what I run in RA to annoy some monks.
And whether I bring pulverizing or crushing mostly depends of my build. If it's already rather energy heavy I'd go with pulverzing. If energy isn't a problem, I'd take crushing.

Yep, and that's why pulverizing isn't used (by me at least). Flail is just too good on a hammer warrior, and pulverizing do not go well with it. So no pulverizing.

Unless you really need weakness or your bar is very energy heavy then I would see no point taking pulverizing in my opinion.
