[skill]Assassin's Promise[/skill][skill]Kirin's Wrath[/skill][skill]Symbol of Wrath[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Aura[/skill][skill]Spear of Light[/skill][skill]Zealot's Fire[/skill][skill]Smite Hex[/skill][skill]Smite Condition[/skill] Last two slots would be optional though.

Thoughts?

Don't think you use assasin's promise ; your build can't kill someone in the time i think .. ; might be fun to use in RA but be prepared for some heavy shit from your teammates that you should heal and not kill

Though i do kind of doubt this is going to work,what if you used some kind of snare to keep people from running away?Like Shadow prison or something?

It's pure PvE, not PVP at all. Jumping into mobs with massive aoe and spear of light on your promised target? Yeh I'd think it works.

pve....maybe very big maybe, pvp absolutely not your enemies will just simply walk away from your wraths sorry...just not enough ways to keep them stuck to you.

Use this in shard of orr's, 128 dmg in an aoe per second from a monk? E. A good aggro can easily hold the mob for 5 seconds, then finish your target off with spear of light, use your spells again. Despite what Mr. XenophobicIhatesmitingskills thinks, it actually would work. Now, I'm pretty sure around 600 (estimate) dmg to a target in Pve can end it's life, if you worry about the 60al, use reversal of damage. Adding all the damage from your skills from 2-6, your looking at around 600 damage to a target provided a fair amount of the durations hit the target. So obivously use of heros & aoe snares are reccomended. Ofcourse there is still smite condition/hex damage & zealot's damage again to add.

On the build it's self, probably requires a fair amount of energy, so make sure your ready if your going to death charge in.

[skill]Auspicious Incantation[/skill] on Balthazar's Aura is enough energy

If you really want to smit on a monk, try using this.

but imo the best smiters are either mesmer (fast cast and alot of other signets) or ele's (alot of energy+ Master of Magic smiter is pretty nice)

try to stick in [skill]reversal of damage[/skill] as well, nice trigger for zealot's. Combined with [skill]Smiter's Boon[/skill] you can still heal as monk

Because all of PvE is undead, right?

Who are you kidding? You just slammed the first smiting skills that sprung to mind on a skill bar (hence the the Something that just popped up in my head comment, slapped in a random elite and called it a build. The build doesn't even have a purpose.

You could go the way of smiter "healer" (sorry no idea what name to use), as in reversal of damage / smiter's boon / smite condition / hex. But no, you went randomway. Gj.

Aren't you the ranting. I actually had a comment about not all pve being edited, but I edited it out, only to be ranted regardless. If not happy with the build, don't use it?

Smiting monks aren't used for a reason, because the damage the smiting line offers sucks. Your build is bad because the smiting line is bad. I wouldn't use a smiting monk other then for areas full of undead.

You miss the point of a forum. Telling people with negativity about your build to "not use it", and so in turn not bother posting, means this thread would just fiill with "GOOD BUILD MATEY!!1!", when in truth it sucks hard.

Have you used it? I'm not saying it's the best build ever, I'm actually looking for idea's, not for pointless ranting for people who seem to have no idea what they are talking about.

Go try the build.

And to be honest, Around 600 dmg in 5-8 seconds in considered bad? With instant recharged skills if your target dies? I'm sorry, but your dervish do that. Enjoy your rant, and have a nice day.

if you are unable to take or accept critism, don't post your builds and enjoy your playing outside of guru.

as for my view;

if something removes the hex, you are so utterly useless.

you are a monk, you have low armor. you are in the frontline. your combo takes ages, once aggro breaks, you're quite useless.

as for undead areas; i'd much rather have a derv with you casting judge's insight, 3 targets, 200 damage per target in one swing, that * whatever amount you are going to swing your scythe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> this monk. and this is only by using a single skill in a "team" template. go figure?

Smiter monks are fun to play in especially when the enemy mobs. EoE and some nice aoe from Balathazaars aura etc is fun ^^

i usually run something like: [card]Mantra of Signets[/card][card]Signet of Judgment[/card][card]Stonesoul Strike[/card][card]Holy Strike[/card][card]Banish[/card][card]Bane Signet[/card][card]Reversal of Damage[/card][card]Restful Breeze[/card]

Just to have a bit of fun :P

basically its: 1, 2, 3, 2, 4 etc
