Shadowstepping in PvE
I've just started with my new sin at the moment and with a few more investments, I've done considerably better than that last sin I've created; the other one died so much I quit.
Anyhow, I'm currently having problems with managing my skill bar. ( [skill]Death's Charge[/skill][skill]Golden Phoenix Strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Moebius Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Shroud of Distress[/skill]->I'll replace this with Critical Defenses as soon as my crits increase [skill]Critical Agility[/skill]->haven't gotten it yet [skill]Critical Eye[/skill][skill]Return[/skill] ) The build works nicely, but I'd personally like a bit more room for some other skills. Question is: Which of the two shadowstep skills (Death's Charge/Return) can I remove? Or is shadowstepping in and out really both necessary? I'd still like some form of shadowstepping though since I'm kinda roleplaying the char.

Are you doing some kind of survivor thing?
You don't need to shadow step in and out.
One is good enough.
If anything you can also use dash.

Shadow stepping is a waste in pve in my opinion, you cant really "suprise" them so you may as well take somthing with a nice recharge like dash considering how quick they die.

I came up with the thought that shadow stepping is necessary due to a number of guides (for sins), including the one in Wiki, that say casters and others in the backline should be shadow stepped to and killed first.

The 3 seconds you lose walking to the caster instead of jumping to it is less valuable than the skill slot you save, for PvE, tbh.

I'll just take [skill]Dash[/skill] then. Thanks for the replies.
Off-topic: With regard to the current build I use, anyone have suggestions on how I can have a constant enchantment to fuel [skill]Golden Phoenix Strike[/skill]? I always seem to run out of enchantments mid-battle.

Your looking for critical agility . You said you arent there yet but its the first city in kamada if i recall so id just use lead->off hand, if your using an enchantment just for the sake of GPS your not saving the slot. Alternitly you can go conjure.

Tried equipping [wiki]Critical Strike[/wiki] and it maintained (somewhat) [wiki]Critical Defenses[/wiki]. Thanks. Oh, and I can't use conjure yet; took Mes as my secondary.
Oops, thread's getting sidetracked. Better stop here.

I like shadowstepping in PvE myself. I generally use [skill]Beguiling Haze[/skill] to shut down casters, and I also find [skill]Death's Retreat[/skill] to be a decent "oh shit" skill. However, [skill]Feigned Neutrality[/skill] is probably a better "oh shit" skill in most situations.

AoD~?
[skill]Aura Of Displacement[/skill] can fuel your[skill]Golden Phoenix Strike[/skill]
this way you have your Shadostep in/out, plus gets you in the habit of using hit&run tactics ~ of course tho you can't use Moebius .. which is what you were after in the first place~?
[skill]Critical Agility[/skill] + [skill]Critical Defenses[/skill] is generally more powerful in PvE, but you might get too used to 'tanking' ..
Tailor it according to what you are expecting to be the biggest challenge, if there is a Monk Boss you will want [skill]Beguiling Haze[/skill] &/or interrupts ..
